Governor Beshear said what needed to be said: Trump has spent years attacking fair elections and has repeatedly come up empty. Meanwhile, the only person caught on tape trying to change an election result was Trump himself. American elections are secure. Facts matter.
Seeing them march in Washington DC for America's celebration was very disturbing to me.

Was dedicated under FDR and is run by the GSA. "Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium" Why build a second one? He is wasting money on vanity! www.eventsatmellon.com

I wish novels included name pronunciations. It bothers me to read an entire book and never know if I am reading the characters names correctly.
This makes much more sense than wasting farm fields for solar power.
Jill Belch@jillbelch.bsky.social · 3mo agoFrance passed a law in 2022 requiring car parks to install #solar. * Applies if ≥80 spaces * Must cover at least 50% of area * Exemptions (grid constraints, heritage sites) We did it with disabled spaces why not solar? There are obstacles but none are strong enough to justify not doing it at all!
The way things used to be when only policies were up for debate - not humanity, compassion, decency and ethics.

The US should be doing this. I drive by acres of farmland that have been turned into solar farms, and it seems such a waste when parking lots seem to be a perfect solution!
Andy Muirhead@andymuirhd.bsky.social · 4mo agoIn France, legislation came into effect recently for all car parks that have over 80 spaces to be covered with solar panels. Estimated to add around 11GW of renewable energy capacity to the national grid. Why not do likewise in Scotland? Braehead, Silverburn, Glasgow Fort etc.
