My neighbors had a baby and their six-year-old explained to me that the baby is “new,” that she herself is “kind of new,” that I am “almost old” and her parents are “full old.” And so. That’s the ages.

I'm doing a project right now where each night I go to bed too late watching people in Asia go back & forth raising issues at each other, then I wake up in the am to see if they solved anything. It's 0% fun. Meanwhile the US team has not said a peep which makes me think they're procrastinating.🙃

Oh no one of the people who was killed at the In N Out Burger by that gunman in Idaho was actually from my region....she was a manager who went there to do training for the staff 😭 23 years old. That location in Twin Falls had only opened the week before.

This is a great episode. Also the counterbalance between a discussion of masculinity, testosterone, and warriors with ads for bras & therapy was amusing me.

Life lately: -Call DMV w/question, can't get past AI -Use appliance at home, battery dead -Make a purchase on my phone, need to send a "review submission" to Apple for a 72 hour review -Try to get into locked social media account "Stop bothering us/contact us in 7 days" Living in Enshittification🤬

Me calling the CA DMV hotline which is now apparently run by an AI: "Need help with car registration & smog certification" AI: You need help with log registration? It got worse from there.🤦‍♀️ Someone might be calling me back from the DMV but I'm not entirely sure because it got stuck after I rated it

The project I'm on right now is truly awful and I keep making analogies to war (one woman in the trenches against armies from all sides, no general leading the troops, etc) I can't decide if my brain has been infected by Hegseth, the Odyssey is influencing me or if that's just the best analogy here
