This is frame zero, purposely wasted by the camera's automatic winding function to make sure there were no light leaks on the actual photos.

Photo of a mountainous landscape rising straight from the sea. Half the visible mountain is covered by a glacier, with one arm coming down a valley and stretching towards the sea. The ice does not reach the water any more, but the bare and worn rock shows that the glacier used to be much bigger back in the day.

On the still water in front of the glacier sits a large cruise ship, somewhat out of place – or perhaps exactly where it should be, as a symbol of human-made global warming, its effects on the earth and people's desire to see what beauty is left that we have not yet ruined completely.

Oslo city hall (portside). Went on a guided tour of the city hall today, and the amount of history, art and symbolism crammed into this building is impressive. It may be an administrative building, but they managed to make it a monument as well. I also brought a […] [Original post on pixelfed.de]

Photo of what is technically the backside of the Oslo city hall, facing the port. White stairs as wide as the building itself lead up to the building's three large doors, which are closed, because the public entrance is on the other side of the building. The building itself has an exterior done mainly in marble and elaborate red brickwork, with various artistic decorations and symbolic patterns everywhere. By the stairs stands a sculpture of a stonemason holding a hammer, representing some of the workers who built the city hall.
