Signs that my son is my son: - hey, you put your t-shirt on inside-out today - oh, well no worries, I like it like this - but it looks kind of weird like this - hm... well at least when people look at it, it will be... interesting for them! :D So interesting is more important than normal. Love it.

What an experience at #NetSci2026 in Boston! Was great to present my recent citation issue, but also to get exposure to amazing topics from all sorts of fields! Including some cool works on quantum networks. :) I actually hope to be back one day, such a nice community!

A new, very serious preprint is out from Veronika and Alberto. No, don't look at today's date it's 100% legit we promise. It's a genuine proof that P=NP... (...if you believe in quantum many-worlds and are willing to destroy almost every observer in the multiverse 👀) arxiv.org/abs/2603.28869

Citation-count-addiction is horrible, but it's one of the few points of feedback that young researchers get. I'm quite grateful for what 2025 brought, particularly more diverse feedback/verification from the community; things I didn't really expect would come my way:

not only tariffs are rising... but also number of photons ;) We found a simple setup for nonlocality in the triangle using 2-photon sources that is ~50% robust to photon loss, vs. the ~5% that we had for single photon sources.
