I switched from Claude Code to OpenCode this month. Inference costs dropped significantly. Testing the Go subscription at $5 (first month promo). Open source models are surprisingly good and noticeably faster. Just saying.

I took a frontend assessment today. A few years ago, each of the five features I was asked to build would have been a sprint of work for a team. Now the expectation is to ship them all solo, in an unfamiliar codebase, in 90 minutes, with AI as your co-pilot. 🤯

Added a DevContainer to one of my projects today. `pnpm install` now runs in Docker, the host never executes a line of dependency code, SSH agent isn't forwarded, `node_modules` is invisible to the host machine. Cheap and relatively simple defense against supply-chain attacks.
