This bit of news — at least 40 dead— appears around the 27th graf of the NYT story. Which is a really bizarre choice. (And we find out a few grafs down that several US soldiers were injured)

At least 40 people were killed in Saturday's attack on Venezuela, including military personnel and civilians, according to a senior Venezuelan official who spoke on condition of anonymity to describe preliminary reports.

no, do not panic. *organize.* panicking is how you get people taking rash individual actions that just hurt themselves and their loved ones more than anything. organizing and building collective solidarity is how you fight in the long run. panicking does nothing. organizing is how we survive.

Israel has bombed Qatar in an attempt to murder Gaza negotiators gathered for ceasefire talks, just days after bombing Yemen to murder the Prime Minister and cabinet in Sanaa, all while conducting a genocide. Obscene levels of violence. A terrorist regime in the fullest sense.

Israel bombed and murdered the Prime Minister of Yemen along with several cabinet members, and there is zero outrage in Western media… it’s barely even a story. The level of impunity is breathtaking.
