Today I worked from @glos-police.bsky.social Specialist Operations centre, watching Taser training, visiting the armoury, specialist collision investigation team, our drone & firearms teams. I also visited the dog section & a rather scary furry friend. Great day with enthusiastic officers & staff!

Today was Staff Networks Day & it was great to see colleagues from across @glos-police.bsky.social meet with our networks at HQ. I popped down this afternoon to meet the Women's Support Network, Unison, LGBTQ+ network, neurodiversity network, Gloucestershire Ethnic Minority Association & He4She.
Chief Constable Blyth & I are meeting with all Sgts & first line managers in @glos-police.bsky.social to talk through our plans. It's been great to have honest conversations about finance, culture, misconduct, investigations & performance. I'm looking toward to what we can all deliver together.
I just listened to this @reducingcrime.com podcast with @jerryratcliffe.net & Gina V. Hawkins. What a fantastic discussion about all sorts, but particularly about women in policing & the trials & tribulations of bringing up a family while being a senior leader. Well worth a listen!
