Photo of the Chiikawa Shop in Shanghai. Actually quite a busy place, but it looks well-hidden and tranquil in the picture. It is full of Chiikawa and friends and non-friends. I took the opportunity to buy a mascot ☀️ BTW there is also a humongous Miniso nearby with loads of Chiikawa. #ちいかわ

I focused on reading Achar for the last few days and got the first rough reading done! I now have some feeling on the importance of loop groups and quantum groups.

I now know what categorification means! You realise a ring as a certain Grothendieck group of a suitable category. The isomorphism is generally called a characteristic class which makes use of certain cohomologies.

I went to some royal gardens and had some royal yoghurt. It gradually gets weird when everything is royal... This time I didn't get to visit the Forbidden City, since I didn't plan my trip well. I suppose that I should share a cat picture. #beijing

Any pal who has also drawn en plein-air at the Temple of Heaven? I did a quick pencil sketch so that I didn't hog this nice viewing location for too long. There was a huge crowd and people kindly left me space to draw. The support system of pillars and beams is interesting #sketch #templeofheaven

I had accidentally walked into our library and had borrowed The Incal. I don't like the story, which feels like a random mess to me. I prefer more predictable stories. John Difool is really funny though. I am always amazed by Mœbius's drawings.

Doodled my summer palace. It is built into a slope. I was not decided on the view point, so the perspective is inconsistent. I find that I am just not capable of drawing "my room", because I have never had my room. #doodle

I learned about the name Uji Kintoki from the manga CMB, but I didn't know what it actually is. Then finally today I saw it on the menu of a dessert shop. I wanted to try it!

I was taking photos in a garden, when I heard: "T'as vu le canard ? Il est dans l'eau. A, il est sorti de l'eau." A mother was pointing out a duck in the pond to her child in French. It seems that I can understand spoken French much better now! Here's a photo of two ducks. #duck
