I was so ready to select "kernel", when I saw only "stones" and "stone" are available as choices.
Photo of the Chiikawa Shop in Shanghai. Actually quite a busy place, but it looks well-hidden and tranquil in the picture. It is full of Chiikawa and friends and non-friends. I took the opportunity to buy a mascot ☀️ BTW there is also a humongous Miniso nearby with loads of Chiikawa.
I focused on reading Achar for the last few days and got the first rough reading done! I now have some feeling on the importance of loop groups and quantum groups.
I now know what categorification means! You realise a ring as a certain Grothendieck group of a suitable category. The isomorphism is generally called a characteristic class which makes use of certain cohomologies.
I went to some royal gardens and had some royal yoghurt. It gradually gets weird when everything is royal... This time I didn't get to visit the Forbidden City, since I didn't plan my trip well. I suppose that I should share a cat picture. #beijing
My dominant feeling of the royal city, Beijing, is that everything is so complicated. Maybe I just don't like rituals.
Any pal who has also drawn en plein-air at the Temple of Heaven? I did a quick pencil sketch so that I didn't hog this nice viewing location for too long. There was a huge crowd and people kindly left me space to draw. The support system of pillars and beams is interesting #sketch #templeofheaven
Today I learned that there is a school called 42. H2G2 reference?
I had accidentally walked into our library and had borrowed The Incal. I don't like the story, which feels like a random mess to me. I prefer more predictable stories. John Difool is really funny though. I am always amazed by Mœbius's drawings.
Doodled my summer palace. It is built into a slope. I was not decided on the view point, so the perspective is inconsistent. I find that I am just not capable of drawing "my room", because I have never had my room. #doodle

Wow, I actually finished reading Paradise Kiss. Many people love each other, but it would be harmful for them to be together. #manga
I really like the monologue of Yukari on pp123--127 of Volume 4 of Paradise Kiss. #manga
I learned about the name Uji Kintoki from the manga CMB, but I didn't know what it actually is. Then finally today I saw it on the menu of a dessert shop. I wanted to try it!
Fuun. It's hard to understand Yukari and George's relationship. Otherwise I think I can follow the story. Why does Yukari absolutely not want to leave George? #manga
Reading Parakiss while thinking of Hachiware. I am too busy. I don't have a lot of time to read, but I got to volume 3 now. #manga
I was taking photos in a garden, when I heard: "T'as vu le canard ? Il est dans l'eau. A, il est sorti de l'eau." A mother was pointing out a duck in the pond to her child in French. It seems that I can understand spoken French much better now! Here's a photo of two ducks. #duck
Going to try my hand at drawing a sailing boat. I hope I don't mess up.
I learned that the forks are placed with prongs down when setting a table in the French way, while doing French exercises. Checked Wikipedia and this to verify that my comprehension was not off. fabulouslyfrench.blogspot.com/2020/11/the-...
