Paku 7.1 is rolling out now with first-class support for AirGradient! I'm really excited for the coverage improvements outside the US - many countries went from a handful of sensors to over a hundred, and coverage across Europe double or quadrupled.

Little bit cynic, little optimistic. I make @paku.app, and work at mercury.com
Is Ternus just Tim's fall man for iPhone Fold? Feels like he'll be the scapegoat if it flops and it'll be his first launch as CEO 😅
Hey @curtclifton.net hope you can forward this to the right team - this page layout is broken (too wide) on mobile layouts presumably due to the wider images in my screenshot developer.apple.com/app-store...
• Well-designed • Solves a problem • Used every day (You can only pick 2) This week on our blog: a little love for what @mbbischoff.com coined “single-serving apps.” We canvassed ourselves, and a few friends of the team, for some of our favorite examples. lickability.com/blog/single-...
Single-Serving Apps – Lickability
Some love for software that just does what you want it to.

I now own both an indoor and outdoor PurpleAir sensor, and the next thing I need to solve in Paku is immediately obvious: how to view two overlapping sensors.
I updated with Paku 7 details, which will start rolling out soon and officially launches August 24! If you write about indie apps or air quality it's worth a look. Reposts appreciated! #aqi #airquality #ios #apps

Oh my god. One of these uses a curly apostrophe and one doesn't.
I'm no designer so I always shamelessly rip off Apple for Paku. 7.0 will be the most Apple-coded release yet.
APCA contrast picking worked waaay better for me in Paku for the map pins than WCAG 2
Thinking about releasing Paku 7.0 sooner rather than waiting for the 27 release cycle 🤔 it's ready to go, has a lot of nice improvements, wildfire season is well underway, and the only feature I would have to pull is the large portrait widget
I've got two big announcements for Paku today! First, Nearby Alerts officially launches today - a feature I've always wanted. Like all of Paku, this feature is built in a privacy-first way, so your location never leaves your device.
Nearby Air Quality Alerts
Get real-time AQI alerts wherever you are. Location-aware notifications keep you informed before the air turns bad.

With the amount of foundational changes piling up in Paku 7.0, I'd really love more testers on the beta. Reposts appreciated! #airquality #purpleair #aqi #ios #beta

RevenueCat has a pretty great app, thank you @lickability.com 🙏 was pleasantly surprised when I could search for a user and grant an entitlement!
I dropped iOS 18 and noticed this deprecation - couldn't find much online about it so here's a little post
Migrating from appStoreReceiptURL to AppTransaction
How to detect TestFlight builds now that appStoreReceiptURL is deprecated.

Apple has a different Smart Stack widget padding for every single watch size. Is there some API to get these values? padding() isn't it. I don't think scenePadding() either. It's also such a pain that you can't preview the real Live Activity layout on a watch sim.
Pretty happy with this, always wanted the chart in the live activity and never got around to it. They're also push backed now, and will update much more reliably. They can also be set up to start automatically when AQI gets bad.
I should build a shared UI library for Luka and Paku because they're basically the same app.. monitor a number with a graph and a trend arrow 😂
They just approved an almost identical build that I rejected to add a bug fix before the release. Love to keep us on our toes.
I literally have the in-app search scheme app intent. Is this just still broken in the current beta or am I doing something wrong? Anyone have it working?
If any mutuals on the east coast want a free Paku Pro unlock (my PurpleAir app), send me a DM. Stay safe!
