On Wednesday, the Russian MoD released footage of a combined ballistic missile/drone strike on what they claimed were trucks transporting Ukrainian drones. Ukraine claim they were loading grain. Russia's own footage and satellite imagery disputes their claims of drone launches.🧵

Significant number of fires detected today in Sudzha, Kursk Oblast after Russian and North Korean infantry launched a large-scale offensive aimed to push Ukraine out of Russian territory. I wouldn't be surprised if Putin has demanded the Ukrainians are pushed out prior to May 9.
Three days ago, Zelenskyy offered a mutual ban on the targeting of civilian energy infrastructure. Russia gave their response overnight with a large-scale missile attack on Ukraine's gas facilities. I'd expect to see some Russian oil refineries struck before Monday.
Zelensky offers a mutual ban on missiles, long-range drones, a ceasefire at sea, and prisoner exchanges in order to reach a peace deal with Russia. The ball is now firmly in Russia's court.
Well that's the US involvement in any peace negotiations dead. That's the one positive to come out of this, the mask has slipped and they never had any intention of fighting for a fair deal for Ukraine. Let Europe take the lead.
The Ukrainian Air Force have posted their final overnight report of February and the total numbers for the month are huge, even when compared to the spike we saw beginning in September 2024. The Russians are launching a massive number of drones at Ukraine on a daily basis.
Trump has gone from calling Zelensky a dictator to saying that they're going to ask Russia to give up a large part of the occupied coastline (see Berdyansk and Mariupol). It's going to be interesting when Putin's response is the equivalent of laughing in his face.
Another massive Russian drone attack against Ukraine last night, the second time in three days that more than 200 total drones have been reported. Over those 3 days, Russia fired more drones at Ukraine than any individual month between January and July 2024.
In the first 20 days of February, the Ukrainian Air Force have reported 14 days in which the Russians launched 100 or more attack drones at Ukrainian cities. To put that in context, between Jan 1 and Nov 31 2024, there were 15 days. There were none in 2023.
Azerbaijan following the Russian playbook and are claiming that "The independent Armenian state is a fascist state" and "fascism must be destroyed. Either the Armenian leadership will destroy it, or we will. We have no other choice". Appeasing Aliyev just emboldens him. en.apa.az/official-new...

Bought myself a drone and then also set myself up an Instagram so I don't spam all the photos here (I'm sure I still will). Give me a follow if you enjoy very average photography. www.instagram.com/kg_dronephot...
Being a United fan is just constant suffering. Why do I do this to myself
Fighterbomber is reporting the loss of a Ka-52 and pilots after being shot down by "friendly" fire. I thought Putin insisted that Russian IFF systems made this impossible?
"Bombing Russian cities is an unacceptable escalation". "Killing Russian generals is an unacceptable escalation". How long before these idiots insist that killing Russian soldiers inside Ukraine is an unacceptable escalation?
Ukrainian Christmas cards are a little more violent than the ones I get.
The number of Shahed/Geran drones launched by Russia in December so far is slightly down on November but still very high compared to pre-spike months (Jan-Aug). As things stand, we might see another month of more than 2,000+ drones reported.
Claimed to be DPRK soldiers after a failed offensive in Kursk this weekend. As always, Russia is huge and has many ethnic groups living in the country, especially in the east. That being said, this is probably the best example we have of potential DPRK on the front so far.
This morning, a car belonging to the head of the Olenivka prison where more than 50 Ukrainian PoWs were massacred was blown up in Donetsk resulting in his death. Location: 47.999570, 37.798891 t.me/rian_ru/272272
More than a decade ago, Marie Colvin and Rémi Ochlik were murdered by the Assad regime in Homs for reporting the truth about what Assad was doing to his own people. Tonight, the city was liberated and a little slice of justice was finally served.
Genuinely dreading what's going to be found when Sednaya is liberated. What we know is horrific and we know very little.
Proud of my colleagues on Eyes on Russia (especially Adam not yet on BlueSky) for helping to bring attention to this "human safari" in Kherson. Russian drone operators announced open season on anyone daring to leave their homes, attacking buses, ambulances, & cyclists. www.ft.com/content/31b6...

More evidence of Russian losses from Syria today, an FPV drone squad was overrun and killed.
With last nights record Russian Shahed/Geran drone attack on Ukraine, the Ukrainian Air Force have now reported more than 2,100 drones launched over the month to date. The numbers are increasing on a monthly basis and are now being accompanied by attacks on power infrastructure.
The F-35 discourse coming from Elon and his fanboys is physically painful to read. Every time they see a video of a Chinese display of drones they start dooming. China is massively investing in modern jet aircraft and naval vessels, maybe he should tell them they're wrong.
