i take umbrage with drawings based on Doctor Worm that depict a literal worm dressed as a doctor. his whole pathos is that someday somebody else will see him as Doctor Worm. he's a weird human guy with a weird chosen name that nobody uses and that's important to the song working, imo

speaking as a writer, my favorite thing to do is to emotionally manipulate the audience into caring about the characters in my story. i accomplish this by employing tricks such as "writing scenes where the characters do stuff" and "revealing information about the characters"
as a writer i love to have favorite characters and play favorites by putting the characters i like writing into my story that i'm writing. it's basically my little way of saying what the story is using characters that i wrote for the story
i haven't gotten to the book 2 stuff in panel-of-the-day cropping yet but I'm excited to do it soon. it's easier to be harsh to myself about the more recent stuff, but it's also easier to be proud of it when I give it a good look.
