It’s hard to explain but tv was better when you couldn’t watch the show you wanted whenever you wanted to watch it and most of the shows were worse and the TVs were worse and the entire experience was worse, that’s when it was better

obsessed with the font on IKEA's clam chowder packaging. this is what's in the freezer on the Nostromo
By golly after passing them up on every trip anywhere my entire life I finally hit up Ripley’s Believe It Or Not in San Antonio and it was an experience
I’m probably gonna have to start posting time lapses with all my art now because if I get one more “is it just me or does this look like ai?” I’m actually gonna go play in traffic 💥☠️💥 I haven’t spent nearly 30 years working on my art just so I can get written off as a fucking bot.
Making this as a list of to-dos to hold myself accountable and to also recognize how completely off the rails weird my job as an indie artist is. Let’s go! First up after taking care of five cats and a dog: feed myself. Then woodglue some laser cut sawtooth hangers together …
Four years ago this week sweet Hildegard dog, the most special pup flew off in a rainbow powered spaceship. She was truly one-of-a-kind, and while I miss her every day, we’re also so lucky to have shared this physical plane with her for as long as we did.
echoing something I saw here recently: do not accuse someone of using generative Ai unless you KNOW you're right. you can totally screw an artist, writer, musician, etc. with erroneous accusations like that.
Frances is keeping an eye on me to make sure I get all my stuff done for San Antonio’s #OdditiesAndCuriositiesExpo this coming weekend!
I have almost finally finished drawing #Jimothy. Soon!
Downtown Growers’ Market in #Albuquerque is underway! We’re here until noon.
I can’t remember where I talked about this last week but I am troubleshooting my #lasercutter, which went down before San Jose Oddities and now I have a flashlight strapped to the lid to trick the camera into letting me make stuff again. Technology is basically magic 😂
Evil Dead Burn was decent! Director did the wrong homework but we all been there. Great MacGuffin!
Before the show doors open my stomach always flip-flops and my brain can only imagine that everyone who stops by my booth will throw a pie in my face. WHERE DID THE PIES EVEN COME FROM
I’m all set for #Oddities&CuriositiesExpo in San Jose all weekend! Here’s the debut of our new logo that I finally finished. Proud to show this one off!
Made it into California from Santa Fe! I’ll be in San Jose tomorrow for #OdditiesAndCuriosities setup!
I came up with a very good idea but I can’t share it yet and it’s probably been done before but I’m excited that my brain still has ideas that feel original
Oh a “smart” speaker from that fake brains company? How original!
My laser cutter broke down right in the middle of a huge push before I drive to San Jose, CA this week for Oddities & Curiosities Expo. Good times, good specially since I’m always super creative before a big deadline! Maybe I should change that 😂
I’ve been fixated on designing/hand-lettering my new logo for so long (6-8 weeks) that any more work is gonna mess it up. And so it is done … … other than creating a few color options 😅
I’m designing new signs for out of town shows because I’m FINALLY raising print prices a little for the first time in TWELVE YEARS 😱.
Ruth: “My Alfred. I loved him so much.” Tom: “Old boyfriend?” Ruth: “Yes. But he got bit by an animal and became that animal.” #widowsbay
'Widows Bay' received 19 Emmy nods in total including for best comedy series, lead actor Matthew Rhys and both writing (creator Katie Dippold) and directing (Hiro Murai). bit.ly/4gp2MNf
I’ve been working on hand-lettering our new labcreature logo for the past few weeks. It has been one of the most difficult design challenges I’ve ever had because I am my own worst client. I can’t wait to share it with you later this week! #logodesign
We had a great time at Albuquerque #Artwalk last night and we’re back at it again less than 12 hours later for Downtown Growers’ Market!
