Three UK Labour MPs — Joani Reid, Tonia Antoniazzi and Mary Glindon — have signed a cross-party petition urging Epsom & St Helier NHS Trust to drop disciplinary action against nurse Jennifer Melle, supporting fairness for health workers facing racial abuse and legal uncertainty in the workplace.

An Employment Tribunal has ruled that the Darlington nurses were unlawfully harassed and discriminated against after being required to share women’s changing rooms with a male colleague. This case underlines the need for clear guidance — and for trade unions to stand firmly with women members.
