I studied mass layoffs for my PhD. Different context, but players are workers, and their displacement is destabilizing, incl for the guys left behind. It’s a staggering ask to return to work w/in hours of losing colleagues and friends. Wishing them well. #BlueJays h/t @mitchbannon.bsky.social
