A nurse in Victoria wanting to be part of positive change. Equality & equity for all. Hatefulness not tolerated.

Pauline Hanson has been telling Australia what's wrong for 30 years. But after three decades in politics, what has she actually fixed? And why do the same problems keep getting worse? Perhaps it's time we asked a different question. 😉🇦🇺 (Article in replies)

AFP Commissioner Krissy Barrett calls out violent political rhetoric such as Pauline Hanson’s car ramming video—for having a "direct correlation" to real attacks on politicians. Speers: “Like a cartoon that suggests someone should be hit by a car…?” Barrett: Yep.💥 #auspol

YOUR DOCTOR DOESN'T HAVE TO LOOK LIKE YOU TO SAVE YOUR LIFE. Your nurse doesn't have to share your skin colour, birthplace, accent or religion to care for you. They do have the right to come to work without being racially abused. If that offends you, the problem isn't the healthcare worker.

Renewables just supplied more than 80% of demand on Australia's main grid, while excess wind and solar were being curtailed. The problem is increasingly moving all that cheap power where it's needed. So naturally: scrap transmission. 🤦⚡

Pauline said no, then yes, then no — while explaining she hadn't flip-flopped. The next morning she defended changing her mind as often as she wanted. No parody required. Sometimes the safest approach is simply to put the quotes next to each other. 😵‍💫🇦🇺

Barnaby says he’s not Jesus Christ. Just as well. Middle Eastern, foreign-born, fed the poor without modelling the cost and preached “love thy neighbour”? Jesus might want to keep his passport handy. 🐧😂 Same outrage. Different target.

Thirty years of grievance can become a habit. Same outrage, new target, repeat. Perhaps before the next rebuttal we should try the traditional IT solution: turn the grievance off, wait a moment, then switch it back on. Empathy update optional. 🐧😂

Australia is heading towards 9 million people of pension age — yet the Age Pension bill is projected to FALL. Why? Superannuation is doing what it was designed to do. Shane Wright from The Age explains why super is not a Magic Pudding. 👇 🎥 The Age/Shane Wright

Three decades of throwing rhetorical hand grenades, followed by genuine outrage when someone asks who pulled the pin. Grievance in. Outrage out. Accountability apparently lost in transit. 🐧 Same outrage. Different day. PLEASE EXPLAIN.

Cost-of-living crisis? Outrage Nation has found the Magic Pudding™: raid Future You’s retirement to pay Present You. No need to fix wages or housing when you can simply send yourself the bill. Same outrage. Different bill. PLEASE EXPLAIN. 😂🍮🐧 Just #Super

HASTIE: We must call out Outrage Nation at every opportunity. ANGUS: We must out-rage Outrage Nation at every opportunity. PAULINE: I do the outrage here. Anything else is just a cheap copy. OUTRAGE VOTER: So why would I buy the generic brand? 🤔

One Nation’s energy plan: keep an ageing coal plant open beyond its planned closure—despite the owner warning it’ll become more expensive and less reliable. Who pays? Details, details. 🪨🍮 The Coal Magic Pudding™: thoughts and tax concessions. 🙏💰

Apropos of nothing, and certainly nothing to do with current investigations into Outrage Nation, in an imaginary world Polly Puddington has been asked to elaborate. The money may be fictional, the accounting mysterious, but the pudding is appropriately recorded. 😌

One Nation’s Magic Super Pudding: take money from your future self to pay today’s housing costs, add purchasing power without adding housing, then hope none of it becomes higher rents. Same pudding, different plate. Future you gets the crumbs. Please explain. 🤔

The plan is simple: work for less, spend more, raid your super, buy cheaper cigarettes and try not to trouble the retirement system for too long. Finally, a policy where the health, tax and retirement settings all point in exactly the same direction. 😌

Give renters their super today, give landlords more purchasing power tomorrow, and leave workers with less retirement savings later. If the problem is unaffordable housing, perhaps try the radical policy of making housing more affordable. Please explain.
