Congratulations to the 49 graduates of #LACoFD Recruit Academy 180! Family, friends, and the Executive Team gathered today as our newest probationary firefighter paramedics received their badges and took their oath. They begin serving Los Angeles County communities this Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Thank you to the Board of Supervisors for recognizing USA-2 today. In the aftermath of unimaginable loss, USA-2, comprised of FFs, canine teams, engineers & doctors traveled thousands of miles as part of the @StateDept mission to help people in Venezuela during their greatest moment of need.

From the rubble of La Guaira to recognition — the dogs of #LACoFD USA-2 were honored for their tireless work following Venezuela’s devastating earthquakes. These dogs worked alongside their handlers through collapsed structures & dangerous debris, searching for survivors when hope was running thin.
