Hi everyone! (Birthday: April 28th) I love indies and classic video games, making fan arts, memes, and designing! I’m also interested in a lot of Japanese stuff! 🇯🇵 NOTE: I’m NOT very good at doing DMs with nor keeping up with art commissions/requests!
Nintendo needs to stop getting angry at fan game devs and hire them
Nintendo Legend Takaya Imamura says Nintendo shouldn't forget it's the devs that make their IP popular. "The idea that “as long as we have popular IPs, we’ll be fine!” is a big mistake. It’s crucial not to forget the talented individuals who uphold the value of those IPs." note.com/imamura_1966...
this isnt as funny with the switch 2 now but still those nintendo devs are wizards sometimes
*Indie World Direct announced* Nintendo Fans: “Okay whatever, but where’s the general Direct though???” If some of y’all think of indie devs as just “obstacles in the way to getting to the good stuff” maybe you deserve to wait much longer for that general Direct.
I actually hope indie animation doesn't become mainstream because I'm more concerned for the mental health and wellbeing of these studios than how successful they could become.
Animation "fans" will keep screaming "go indie" at animators and creators, but then will harass, bully, and smear them and become the most toxic MFers on social media.
"Indie games are not gonna save gaming." True, because they already did. If indie games didn't exist I probably wouldn't be playing games anymore.
Tech companies getting bigger and building apps I don't need while I'm just over here wishing for software that works right.
it's a crime i never posted any of my #selfship stuff on here (until now)... but here's this drawing of gamey and i again~✨
Reposting my masterpiece from twitter/x (Also hi Kirb at the bottom left)
Anyone remember that comic that they had in the Nintendo Power publications?
this is why fighting games are so important, this is why trading card games are so important, this is why events where you sit down and face another person and are forced to have communication is important. The act of connection is so integral to existence and we are losing that by the second.
The decline of third spaces and hangouts, such as malls, video rental places, arcades & skate parks has been a direct result of the rise of convenience and has also been objectively bad for society as a whole. Its not that everyone HAS to socialize, but having no option to without bars is a failing.
It’s why I advocate so heavily for people to go out to locals/events and foster that community, because it is needed in this ever growing age of people being stuck in a box and not interacting. We need this to be human, to be whole, to make sure everyone sees the full human experience on display.
