Announcement regarding streams Tldr- im going on a soft hiatus. Might stream if im feeling up to it, but nothing regular or scheduled aside from the ttrpg sessions.

An annohncement from nightscales discord. It reads-

"@everyone I might be taking a few days off stream.

Im sick. Wife is sick. We both are struggling with money so we need to do doordash and stuff despite BEING sick.

I dont think ill have the energy to push through an illness to stream after pushing through that illness to drive around for hours.

Moreover, ive been feeling extremely stressed and anxious to the point of bordering on daily breakdowns. Most of this is money related, as I still have not been able to find a job willing to hire a trans woman. It is very likely I will need to go back into the closet if I dont want to start missing rent payments and other bills.

Between physically feeling like ass and mentally/emotionally feeling like ass, I just flat out dont think id make good content nor do I think having the extra layer of stress about needing to attend stream and be funny and loud and animated -- (if you arent a streamer it might be hard to believe, but streaming is very taxing) -- is a good idea.

I love spending time with yall but streaming itself is too much right now I think.

Expect many movie nights for a week or two"

Its important to pick up after your dog when poo in a public space. However, sometimes you mess up while picking it up and smear it into the floor a bit. Really, its a tragedy when that happens but theres not much you can do.

Attention to Meccha Chameleon players Someone found a way to send & run potentially harmful files to your pc via custom maps, please be careful & avoid unrated maps from new accounts. source: tech.yahoo.com/cybersecurit...

Digging deeper, however, Feint discovered the real problem: a Blueprint actor with a naming mismatch buried inside the map's metadata. It was built to look like an ambient controller, but an outdated internal name tipped off the researcher.

According to Feint, the Blueprint is built to run automatically the moment the map loads. When it does, it injects a batch file into the gamer's Documents folder on their Windows PC. Not good.

Once triggered, the batch file sneakily launches a hidden PowerShell process with bypassed execution policy before calling out to an outside server to download a second script.

Until Valve confirms that the map is malicious and pulls it from the Workshop library, your best bet is to avoid any new Meccha Chameleon maps, especially if they lack reviews and/or have comments disabled.

If you've downloaded custom maps recently, it's probably worth running a PC scan with your favorite antivirus. You can also check your Documents folder for any strange .bat files hanging around.

Vtubers Against ICE is a month-long charity event focused on raising funds for the American Civil Liberties Union through creative projects (videos, streams, etc.) made by vtubers & creators with virtual avatars.

Why apply?
While many of us want to defend our civil rights, there are marginalized people who feel unsafe doing in-person actions like protesting and canvassing due to being potential targets or health reasons. By streaming and raising funds through Tiltify, we provide a safer way to take action as a community.

What’s our goal?
Our goal is to raise funds for the American Civil Liberties Union, a non-profit that has existed in America since the 1920s. They focus on defending civil liberties and civil rights in every corner of the country such as free speech, LGBTQIA+ rights, immigrant rights, women’s rights, voting rights, and many more.
