I have grabbed 9 platinum trophies this year, which is more than the last two years combined. It isn't really intentional, as my days of trophy hunting are over. I just happen to be playing games I really like which have reasonable platinums. A happy surprise. RE9 and Saros were my favorite.

Went and saw Spider-Man (it was good!) and came home to my first ever pack of Spidey MtG cards and I got a fun one! Cuphead pictured because it's still awesome and rounds out my fun pickups this weekend.

Denshattack keeps getting better. It's a really fun arcade sports style game that lands somewhere between Tony Hawk, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, and Jet Set. Only an hour or so in, but it has started to hook me.

The original Halo is easily in my top three most nostalgic games ever. The multiplayer, of course, but also playing the campaign with friends. Given all of that, it's weird that I have zero desire to try out the remake.

Finally got around to dusting off my copy of Final Fantasy II/IV for #SNES. It's been at the top of my "FF games I haven't played but want to list" since I finished IX a year or two ago. So far, so good. Lots of Final Fantasy stuff going on. The brighter aesthetic it hitting some memories.

Roll credits on Scott Pilgrim EX #PS5 A very fun beat-em-up sequel from the team which did Shredder's Revenge and Marvel Cosmic Invasion. This was way tougher than those two, but the constant leveling, equipables, and trial and error help a lot. Also less linear. Looks great, plays great.

My Naughty Dog tier list. For me, they've made a bunch of very, very good games, a couple of Jak sequels which missed the mark (but were still fine), two racing games, and two of my absolute favorite games ever.

Didn't do much video gaming this weekend but spent the most time with Splatoon Raiders and Scott Pilgrim EX. I'm surprised at how much I'm constantly sucked into Splatoon and it's "one more round!" aspect. Scott Pilgrim is getting really tough, but it's fun. Hoping I'm past halfway.

Over the last two days my daughter and I have been able to get 10 Pokemon packs at normal retail prices (about $4.50/pack). Four Chaos Rising and a booster bundle of Pitch Black. It's wild that this is a major win, but that's how it goes these days.

I attempted to start my Tenchu 2 playthrough with a strategy guide this morning, but the puppies had other plans and I didn't make it out of the tutorial. I am excited to play this, my immediate takeaway was how much better this one looks than the original.

I think I'm finally starting to get the SSX controls. My main sticking point, coming from decades of Tony Hawk games, was that you have to use the dpad to turn during tricks but the analog stick to steer while riding. It's very strange to get used to this. This game (SSX 3) is awesome.

Shopping for a new TV for general use (I.e. not gaming). We need something bigger, but that fits on a 3' wide dresser. It's wild how stands which sit below the center of the TV have become exclusively tied to high end TVs. Every single sub $1000 TV uses the cheap legs on both ends.

Scott Pilgrim EX is way different than the TMNT and Marvel beat-em-ups from the last few years. It's not fully linear and has some legit difficulty. As I've started to get the hang of it, I find myself really enjoying this version of the genre.

Yesterday Dead Cells froze on my PS5. Today Scott Pilgrim EX froze on my PS5. This can't be a coincidence, right? Hard drive going bad? Just needs a cleaning? Other??

Roll credits on Mouse P.I. For Hire #PS5 Very fun boomer shooter with a good bit of performing mixed in. Had a great time overall but the final portions annoyed me a bit with platforming sections that the game really couldn't handle. A fun 12 hours at a great price.
