Right now, wild fires are tearing through Europe, Canada, and the US. Half of England and the whole of Wales are officially in drought. Here in Australia, we are expecting one of the worst El Ninos on record. The world is on fire, people are dying and we know who lit the match.

This is taxpayer money down the drain. Households are paying too much for fuel, yet Labor's answer to every energy challenge is another handout to the fossil fuel industry. The cheapest, cleanest and most secure energy is clean energy we generate here.

This is a victory for justice. The Full Federal Court has just upheld the original finding that Pauline Hanson racially discriminated against Senator Mehreen Faruqi. Hate speech is not free speech.

Actions speak louder than words. If Labor want to ‘ensure a fairer return from our natural resources’, we’ll help them. When parliament returns the Greens will introduce a gas export tax for vote (again) and Labor can support it this time. Time to put our money where your mouth is.

Labor got more than $4 million in gambling donations in five years. One of those donors is sponsoring a fundraiser for Labor at its national conference. Another bought a table at this year’s Midwinter Ball, and hosted a Labor MP! It’s clear Labor has sold its soul on this issue.

Labor is feeling the heat of the national campaign for a gas tax, but words are not actions. We need a 25% tax on gas exports in legislation. Now is the time to lock in and keep the pressure on.

Pauline Hanson has been on a “fact-finding” tour of the UK. The experts she chose to meet with include a billionaire ex-pop star, a multimillionaire MP whose party welcomes fascists and white supremacists as members, and a far-right activist even Nigel Farage won’t speak to.

My heart breaks for Mallorie Roberts, and for those who knew and loved her. Mallorie was a daughter, a mother and a sister, and she is the 25th woman killed by violence this year. Govt must get serious about doing what’s needed to end violence against women and children.

A quick update on the fight to stop Labor’s NDIS cuts: the Greens have delayed these cruel cuts by another 8 weeks as we work to stop them entirely.

The Greens have secured changes to make it harder for wealthy property investors to outbid renters, and as it’s a small step in the right direction, will back the gov’s first tax bill. Sadly, Labor has chosen to put the 1% over millions of people trying to buy their first home.

I love this multicultural country.  Pauline Hanson wants us angry, divided and scared of our neighbours. It’s an ugly, and racist, distraction.

On Budget night tonight, an exclusive group of Australia’s 1% will pay $110,000 to dine with Labor’s inner circle. The 1% pay a worker’s annual wage to sip champagne with the PM, while you read the news about NDIS cuts that pay for increased defence spending. It’s cooked.

One Nation’s win in Farrer didn't happen in a vacuum - it happened because the major parties have left people behind. It is getting harder to get by, and people are right to be angry. Politics should work for people, but right now the only ones benefiting are the 1%.
