What a helpful cat we have! Iggy decided that he would participate in bedmaking this morning. He got himself under the traditional Welsh runner we have on the bed and played at ambushing and swiping at anyone passing by, including Ella. The goblin eyes give him away.

Large handsome white male cat Iggy is lying on top of the clean duvet cover on our bed and hiding himself beneath the traditional Welsh runner on the bed. From this vantage point he would swipe at anyone walking past him.

My new lampshade arrived, it looks terrific! Here it is in operation. Ella after sniffing at the box and then the lampshade, climbed right in as soon as the box was empty. She is so nosy, she followed me upstairs with the box. No box or bag permitted entry without passing the Ella sniff test.

Gold cat lampshade in our bedroom. That is a jellyfish painting on the wall behind itElla the ragdoll cat is half in and half out of the lampshade box. The box is on our bed and I had literally just taken the shade out when the box was claimed.

Well, we're heading towards another heatwave. It will be up to 26 tomorrow and reaching 30 on Friday. I know some of you are reporting 40 plus but I'm not looking forward to it. The heat puts extra pressure on Iggy's heart. Anyway, here's the man himself stretched out today at 20c.

Mixed news from the vet today on Iggy. His heartbeat was steady and the vet said not as high as last time. Bad news he has lost 0.6 kg from 7 to 6.4. He didn't need to lose weight. He's long enough to stand on the floor and have his front paws and head on the kitchen counter. We suspected as 1/2

And here we have the epitome of 'manspreading'. Iggy was actually sleeping in this position! Wish him well, he's off to the vet tomorrow, it's a 6 month check up on his heart and breathing. It's been 18 months since we found he had a heart tumour. We think he's lost weight lately and are worried.

Happy Wednesday from adoptable kitty, Hope! Hope is hard at work at Pet Valu (16507 Rabbit Hill Road SW, Edmonton, AB), she is on floor inspector duty and is happily answering questions and directing people to the products they are looking for! This little cutie is a ray of light and she is going

Iggy is loafing on the floor next to his purple octopus. A minute earlier, he was rolling on the floor bunny kicking and biting it. His favourite toy is a fishing rod with ribbons, he just can't resist, especially when it's dragged across the floor or furniture.

Masterclass in napping with Iggy. 1 - Make sure your feet are raised and pink beans on display. 2 - Make sure your head is properly supported. 3 - Have something comfortable to lie on 4 - Feel safe and secure. Spot the gaffer tape holding the box together.
