Shematologist, MD@shematologist.medsky.social · 2w agoPSA: Summer is a tough time for the blood supply as regular donors are traveling and schools (where drives occur) are out. At the same time, accidents requiring massive transfusion are more common. Only 3% of the population donates yet any of us could be in need someday. Donate if you can!

When they realized they were being filmed, they simply walked away, leaving the man on the ground with a handcuff attached to one arm. The Las Vegas Police found no outstanding warrants for the man and removed his handcuffs.
I couldn't find all the ingredients I need for lemon tiramisu in one grocery trip so it looks like I'll bring scotcharoos to the work potluck.

Good! I complained to the privacy policy folks at the Homestead resort about wait/bar staff wearing these. I don't want hotel staff wearing personal devices capable of surreptitious recording. (policy allows security staff to wear company-owned body cam)

The state didn't put it up. At least one sponsor has pulled out.

Ben Collins@bencollins.bsky.social · 2mo agoThis is a LinkedIn post, but the most #hashtagdisruption thing Apple could do is make an incredibly safe, kind of nice looking $20k car that is just loaded to the brim with old timey buttons. Maybe you still yell at Siri in it and it pairs to your phone and it GPS tracks you to death, but it'd cook.
Pleased to report that the visitors assembled at the art museum in Williamsburg affirmed the vote for an Amazonian warrior over a turkey to represent Virginia on the seal. This was a fun and interactive way to learn about meaning in the Seal of Virginia.
