I finally ran out of things to repost! These are my adult Mari & Haneul concepts for Part 3. (key word: concept) For now I focus on delivering Part 1 chapter 1! 😂

a new adventure manga // █████▒▒▒▒▒ chapter 1
- 2023 memories - you might remember we had a very short prototype oneshot "Midnight Hour". I wanted to test using manga style combined with webcomic format... but then I realised I don't like it as a medium for LC. (also, 95% different characters now! it was fun, prototypes!)
it’s my bday today! I’m finally in the execution part of this project. it’s super tough. it is way harder than conceptualisation. I’m scared I won’t get to tell the story, let alone the 1st episode. but I’m grateful that there is more than one person interested in this journey.
- old concepts (2022) - Last Crown is a trilogy, & I'm a sucker for timeskips. Over the years, I sketched timeskip versions of my characters to inspire myself on outlining the narrative (shit's hard smh). To the point it led to a prototype oneshot (more on that later!).
2025 Haneul You guys have seen this a lot for my profiles 😂 But I discovered a new art style thanks to this artwork. It's only been a year, but her character has also changed since!
- 2019 throwback - I can't believe it's been 7 years since I conceived this story, this was the very, very first art I've done for it. It was in a completely different premise, with a completely different narrative. Yet the protagonist looked the same!
old prototype from 2024 ~ as you can see the colouring & lighting aren’t even finished 😂 these characters’ designs have changed as well. I was daydreaming hard to have my story as an anime... I also miss doing this style, but I wanna focus on inking manga style for now.
Inking chapter 1 is delayed bc we had to revisit the draft again–that's just how it is I guess–but I'm happier with the story thanks to it. It is currently down to 52 pages, so we'll see 🙉 (was inspired by Haikyuu's debut final draft penciled on folded A4, so I did the same :D)

these scenes are from a one-shot prototype webcomic I sketched in 2023, which I've only shared to a few people. it was the first time I "finished" an original story, so I was proud! I will post it one day, but for now I prioritise the real story (which is ~50% different) 😂
some old concepts from 2021 - 2023! story conceptualisation was very early stages, I have been researching and brewing it all since 2018. however, I knew exactly how my protagonist and her rival would look like. (please ignore the pink-haired, she belongs in another story lmao)
