Answer should be good within 5-10%
i generally think you're going to get cooked if you think the LLM is always secretly right, and any problems are user error, or if you think the LLM is always secretly wrong, and any success is laundered human skill

and also: the benefits of this technology are primarily *enclosed*. privatized. ai development at present primarily serves private interests. it is *for* its owners. a datacenter in your town is not serving your town, it is serving the owning class
re: flight. i flew to 13 countries w/ over 30 flights in 2017, flew domestic in 3 countries. US experience is mostly improving but... in 2016-2018 i had 0 problems with layovers despite flying all the time. 3/4 flights with layovers in the last 2 years in the USA have been shitty disasters.
i am using codex 5.6 sol. i have done amazing software things with it. when it touches software, it does good. still instantly shits the bed at the first sign of a physics diagram
not a fan of the idea of FOSS making the assumption that its users don't need it to be good right out of the box bc they can each individually pay a subscription to one of ~3 companies for a frontier coding agent or pay for hundreds or maybe thousands of $ of API use to get it working adequately
i find it interesting that SV nominally describes its future goals in the terms of cosmism, and yet, i really do not believe they are on the side of biocosmism. i really do not see the path from here to there given the way they actually build things

Any use of AI to justify layoffs will blow back on the big tech companies, even if they're not the ones conducting layoffs. Execs think they can discipline their labor forces for free. They're wrong.
