Might be rich coming from an E-litre player but the only reason people want it nerfed is because the maps in S3 are super linear (suck in common terms) and everything else that’s been good has been nerfed into the ground.

I feel like backline is in a pretty good spot right now even though people are doom-posting about E-litre (and I think it’s hilarious because I can make time is a flat circle posts.) Pen/Inkline Stringer are still different backline options that have viable strategies.

When my parents came to watch me at worlds in 2018 they thought we were winning because we had slightly more turf on the map - it was tower control… Splatoon is a much harder game to understand as a spectator than people realise. I think that’s a big issue for why it doesn’t do so well in the west.
