Hello! I’ve recently wrapped my first game-writing contract! ✨ But while I’m very proud, it does mean I’ve lost my main source of income 😅 So if you’d like to support an ND, queer writer, artist, and narrative designer, please checkout this post! ☆ (Also, my website: laurenmcrown.com)

musing after finishing this month’s wallpaper at the different ways I’ve drawn Spectbarrow Prep and how I’ve gotten better, how it’s changed, and how it’s also the same (I thought I’d drawn it at least 4 times, but I guess it’s just 3)

September 2025; a digital illustration meant to look like papercraft of Noah and Lucy siting in a tree and playing Switch, Lucy proudly showing Noah the console and Noah looking on encouragingly. They sit beneath a tree with bright red-orange leaves, which have also started to fall on the ground and foreground. In the back, the library and perimeter wall are blurry but visible2024, done piecemeal with huge gaps between sections so I don’t know how to date it ;;;; A digital pixel art illustration of Noah and Lucy on Spect’s campus; Noah stands along a cement path in the grass, looking at a tree with brilliant red-orange foliage. Lucy sits on the concrete stairs into a brick class building a little further backSeptember 2022; these illustrations happen in September for a reason, haha. A digital illustration of Noah and Lucy sitting on the short steps leading into a brick building on campus; near them are trees with bright red-orange leaves, a winding concrete path through the grass, and an unwelcome visitor near the perimeter wall far in the back…

Four of my favorite PokéPocke display boards, because man I love both art and Pokemon Please let us have more than 15 boards Nintendo, they're SO FUN and you've released so many cool backgrounds I don't get to use : C

2☆ full-art rare of Sabrina, with her arms out to either side and an explosion of magenta and white energy around her. The display board is Mewtwo, who appears to hover above her, arms out to either side as he gathers a magenta sphere of energy. This is my favorite display board, I'm very proud of the synergy hahaThe Giratina 1☆ full-art against the display board of a mosaic-looking arrangement of Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai. I adore the colors and the eerie spiral composition of the Giratina art (as well as just Origin form Giratina, AUGH what a COOL POKEMON), and with its Distortion World aesthetic against the "human myth" of the tile, it's just COOL. Also, Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai seemingly heralding it is a very fun touch1☆ full-art Minior on the.... uh... this is ultra Necrozma or something? ;;;; I actually have little idea of the Gen 7 legendaries and ultra beasts, my bad ;;;; But it's big and gold and firing down streaks of rainbow light, while 7 Minior of rainbow colors streak down from the night sky--another synergy I love2☆ full-art Darkrai EX on the Espeon/Umbreon display board. I won't go too into detail about this one because errrr... Darkrai is my favorite pokemon, Darkrai EX 2☆ is my favorite card in the game, and I wanted it to have a unique backing and I like Umbreon/Espeon and Sun/Moon aesthetics a lot, so that's kind of all there is to it ;;;;

I got this month's wallpaper and sticker done on time! ☆ The digital wallpapers are always available, but the postcard and sticker will just go out to those supporting me before the end of August! 🧡🧡🧡 I am R E A D Y to say goodbye to summer

A preview of my August Patreon wallpaper and postcard; Noah and Lucy lie on the grass after a fierce watergun fight, surrounded by puddles of gathered water and covered in loose blades of grass. In the puddles around them are reflected the fireworks going off high above, casting rainbow light over the boys and the wet grass. The text: Preview ☆ is on top of it, since the digital wallpaper is a Patreon rewardA preview of my August Patreon sticker; Noah and Lucy's faces if they were fireworks, glowing in front of a handful of other colorful fireworks. A relief to have a simple one this month, and very glad a very tricky effect came out more or less fine on the first attempt

The boy has been deployed! He's actually not 100% finished yet, but 98 is close enough, and he's structurally sound He's a loooong looong boy because he's a wrist rest for typing! I have another plush wrist support that isn't portable and it's SO helpful 😭♡ I knew I wanted one I could take around

A fancily angled photo of my Starbucks set up, including iPad, foldable Bluetooth keyboard, and featuring my 98% complete Noah wrist rest plush! He's slightly longer than my 12.9" iPad Pro and about 1" high (I'm hoping with use he'll squish down just a bit)A side shot of the Noah Wrist Rest Plush in action, with my wrists resting on the plush and my fingers at my keyboard as if I'm about to write and not just procrastinate. You can also see a Japanese Starbucks in the back, which looks mostly identical to all other StarbucksA straight-on photo of my Starbucks set up, including iPad, foldable Bluetooth keyboard, and featuring my 98% complete Noah wrist rest plush!
