I’m excited begin a new role as incoming Student Representative on the Board of Directors for the American Psychological Association Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. In this piece, I share how my research and clinical experiences thus far inform my goals for the organization.

How do children’s surroundings impact their mental health? In this new study, we found that youth living in areas of greater neighborhood disadvantage exhibited more severe anxiety and depression and had longer delays to care. There is a critical need to reduce barriers to youth mental health care.
