We designed our own mythical creatures!
More class talks from our confident individuals in P2 🌟
Our class talks have been fantastic! We have such confident individuals in P2. 🌟
We learned about oil spills and how they affect the ocean. We experimented with oil, water and fairy liquid and then tried to remove the oil using cotton wool and spoons. We found that cleaning up oil spills is very difficult!
Superb class talks from E and M! I was very impressed by time and effort you put in to preparing these. 👏
Sharing our dioramas with Primary 1! 🌊 🐠
All ready and excited to show Primary 1 our ‘under the sea’ dioramas. 🌊 🐠
After lunch, we entered the class to a shocking sea pollution scene. We discussed how pollution harms animals and what we can do to help, then added pollution effects to our dioramas 🌍🐠
More fantastic class talks today from these confident individuals!
5 star writers today in Primary 2! 🤩 Well done. ⭐️ ✍️
This little learner wanted to count all of the Alyson Hubbles at the end of the book too! 🌟
We used ‘The story ofAlison Hubble’ to learn about doubling! We have had such rich discussion about how counting in 2’s isn’t the same as doubling! 🌟
Fantastic class talks today from L and M! Thank you for your hard work and preparation. We enjoyed hearing about your topics of interest. 🌟
Well done to our Star Writers- M, E and L for explaining to the aliens why they should stay at our school. ⭐️
We viewed CCTV footage of aliens landing on our school roof! They left us a note asking us to explain why they should stay at our school. We used ‘hot seating’ to practise saying our explanations before writing them.
We worked together to find the odd one out. This helped us think deeply about fractions using the Building Thinking Classrooms approach.
More macaroni maths division in P2 🍝 💬
Dividing whole numbers equally during macaroni maths 🍝
If pupils are visiting the beach over the next few weeks, please could they collect some shells for our ‘Under the Sea’ project. Thank you!
Today we learned how to use bar modelling to represent fair and equal sharing. We also explored fractions through a variety of activities.
This clever girl made her own book! 🤩 Well done L. Thank you for sharing it. 📖
We read ‘Just a Piggy Bank’ and then played a fun game to practise our coin recognition. 🐷 💰
