Looked out of the window, and there's a boy of about 12 repeatedly smacking a tree with a stick. Broadband down, buddy? Welcome to analogue-age entertainment. You'll be ready for a hoop in no time. (I'd offer to show you some frogspawn you can poke, but I'd probably be put on a register.)
When I was younger, if an event was poorly attended, I'd use the expression "there'd be more people at a Dad's Army reunion." Seems wrong now that a Dad's Army reunion would be literally empty. Thinking of changing it to Blake's 7, but leaving it ambiguous as to whether I mean actors or characters.
So I watched "Spider-Noir", and the fact that these two series turned up at around the same time is... interesting? As if we've decided WW1 is now the obvious battleground for superhumans. ("The Sentinels" is by far the stronger, but lacks the humour of Nic Cage playing the Sexagenarian Spider-Man.)

The blather about communists trying to blow up Mount Rushmore has reminded me that in the Marvel Comics version of "Planet of the Apes" (1975), there's a passage in Abraham Lincoln's nose that leads to a secret cache of alcohol and explosives. The story is called "Up the Nose-Tube to Monkey-Trash".

I can't speak for Dream Warriors' place in American hip-hop, but I *can* say that they made white English teenagers in the art / multi-media room of sixth-form do something we considered dancing. "My Definition" led to us attempting simultaneous robot poses and jazz hands, which may be unique. #TOTP
One: my grandfather's family was in music-hall. He hated all post-War pop music. He died in 1984, three years before I had the chance to tell him that "It's a Sin" would've gone down a f***ing storm at the Ardwick Empire in the '20s. It's a funny, dramatic, audience-grabbing music-hall number #TOTP

Is anyone on the #totp shift still watching the "Hits of 1983" thing on BBC4? Because it never occurred to me before, but... "New Song" by Howard Jones. He would've had his keyboard plugged into an '80s sequencer. And "New Song" was the default name for sequencer files right up until at least 1990.
The best thing about using a VPN is that foreign ads are, inevitably, less annoying than native ads. Although if you're in the UK and watching ads from the US, prepare for the culture shock of "Safelite repair, Safelite replace" AND IT'S THE AUTOGLASS JINGLE BUT WITH THE WRONG NUMBER OF SYLLABLES -

I've been watching "Babylon 5" on Freeview 41 (because I want to see how well / badly it's aged, yes it was very exciting in the '90s BUT), and I'd forgotten how much Bishop Brennan was in it. Nerdfact: Jim Norton was in more episodes of "Babylon 5" than he was in "Father Ted".
I keep seeing adverts for a cider called "Thatcher's Juicy Apple", which sounds like a euphemism Alan Clark might have used in his diaries. Don't think about that too hard.
