I am going to hire 2 postdocs and 1 PhD later this year!

It was a pleasure to host this inspiring group of scholars for two days in Krems this week & think together about ongoing research on #mobility #control as #state-(re)making in #conflict settings for our upcoming SI with Journal of Refugee Studies.

We are happy to share the latest update of the #SYREALITY Methodological Handbook about our qualitative data collection. Chapter 3 now includes a new section on collaborative data collection, sampling strategies, experiences with recruiting participants, & reflections on interview encounters by the whole team. Hopefully it is of interest for those who participated in our project as well as other researchers working with life histories and cognitive maps.

We're delighted for Lea Müller-Funk, who has been awarded the ERC Starting Grant. In her project, she investigates how refugees perceive the state and state violence before, during and after their flight and how these experiences influence their political participation. erc.europa.eu/news-events/...
