(no spoilers because I'm just catching up on season 3) Strange New Worlds had me bathing in "Yesss, some actual Star Trek, shame about the missteps and dud episodes" before realising that makes it EVEN MORE SO actual Star Trek.

On the one hand he's an unrepentant asshole, on the other I wouldn't watch this movie if it starred my own child.
