ARGH!!! 🤬 Ran out of filament at 87% done and my options are to either drive 90 miles round trip as nobody near me has it in stock, or wait to tomorrow for an overnight delivery. Gotta leave the printer on until the stuff is delivered.

Another project? Sure, why not! Both are for Daddy’s shop and he wants them tomorrow. One machine makes by precisely cutting stuff then I peel the leftovers away, the other makes by spreading melted plastic in an amazingly precise way.

Oh yay, at the dentist, getting a crown. The magical mystery machine is milling a piece of ceramic now and in about 45 minutes it’ll be ready to be cemented in. 🦷👑💸💸💸 At least it’s a one and done three-ish hour visit. No more waiting for “the lab” to make and ship a crown.

Forgot to reveal the thing I was printing yesterday. Had a delay as the printer got constipated at about 2 AM with a poop chute overflow thanks to something like 600 filament changes and had to unclog it and resume when I woke up. He's almost five inches tall.

590 layers and about as many filament changes to go... Glad I got the AMS - how many weeks would it take to do that many manual changes? 😱 What is it? Come back tomorrow! Looks like this print is going to run until 7AM or so. ⏳

Oops! An Amazon driver just left a package in my garage. I'd forgotten that I had a full leather bondage suit hanging from the rafters. No idea if Amazon guy saw it or what they thought if they did. Suit was recently delivered so it was hanging to go from squashed in a box shape to human shape.

head to toe leather, all lockable. Can't wait to get into it!

Are there still decent work from home jobs in information security? My current position is becoming a dead end and I want to find a new job. Where are jobs even listed now?

Updated the hawk yesterday. Probably should have done a pic while it was nicely styled rather than slept on. 😆 What color will I have for our cruise? Still red or switch to something else?

Pulp Riot Fireball ombre with 2 weeks growth.

I'm totally new to 3D printing and I'm assuming it can be done but have no idea how - The Carhartt logo in something I want to make looks awful. How can I replace it with a better one? Bonus question - how hard is it to change the color of just the beanie?

Woke up to some nice hard wood this morning. Unfortunately that involved going to bed in the dark with no power, a giant crane up the hill, and a bunch of random yelling. After 10 years, the electric company decided replacing a bent 🍌 pole was urgent. 🙄 Just weird that they started work at 10 PM.

The ablation has been survived, now for the “fun“ part after all the lidocaine and fentanyl have worn off…OW… As expected, just ow. At least I found out why I was so horribly zonked after last year’s. The chart showed I got 50% drugs more than typical, but no notes as to why.

Zap zap zap! ⚡️⚡️

Up and running now. Making a poop chute. Why don’t those come with printers? How badly have I tempted fate by not printing a Benchy first? I remember 40 years ago someone (might have been Jerry Pournelle in Byte magazine) fantasizing about “Santa Claus” machines, now they’re cheap and common.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how much am I hurting today? That’s a new 3D printer next to its intended home. I had the FedEx guy put it on the dolly so I wouldn’t have to lift or carry the 40+ pound box. Spinal ablation next Wednesday so my normal daily pain meds are on hold until afterwards. 🤯 😭 😫

Took probably too much poking around, but I found the universal non-metallic cylinder cage lock. Would have been nice to find an STL but $15 is tolerable. With the seal tags, this thing can lock anything that uses the ME/2 locks with no through hole required. headzonedefense.com/products/pla...

This is a general idea of what I thought I saw - the one in the pic is a zero security lock but I could swear I've seen something similar that has a hole through the head/knob so it can be secured with a (usually) numbered plastic seal tag.
