im stuck on hold with my cell carrier and it wouldnt be that bad if they didn't keep interjecting the bland music with pre recorded "tips" telling me to use the app

what really got me about misuse of "slop" even before "friendslop" was "cgi slop". slop is low effort where the person(s) making it don't care about the quality of the result cgi, even if you don't like it, is actually very high effort make by many humans who are probably working overtime

I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to this right now but I think it would be fun to rewatch movies that I dislike but haven't seen in a long time. maybe I'll like them now! maybe I'll find new ways to hate them! seems fun

trying to unpack the halo studio news... it's bad the way contractors are treated in the industry, MS in particular has a history here, but it also seems irresponsible to write and share an article that implies mass layoffs based on 3 people's linkedin updates
lmao at this adam conover "wfh is bad" video, what a swing and a miss
look i know why people make jokes about musk blowing up the moon but like... that's giving him to much credit. for the moon this is but a scratch
I would never say it was good that EA bought bioware, but as someone who was on the floor both pre and post buyout I think many people are unaware that bioware was fully capable of making its own bad decisions
is there any problem in gamedev that can't be solved by waiting one frame
i got an email from my health insurance saying that they are aware that the area i live in may have experienced an emergency but the language is all generic so i'm trying to figure out what they're talking about
