Re the Trump admin, the FTC is demanding that Media Matter turn over almost all of their files under threat of a subpoena. Two states already tried that, now it's the federal government. All because they accurately reported that ads for big brands could be displayed next to Nazi content.

This is a smart move by Fed Chair Jerome Powell. By proactively requesting an independent review of the D.C. headquarters renovation, Powell is doing exactly what leaders should do when under politically motivated fire: call for transparency and let the facts speak louder than spin.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE. This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined. It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

The votes are slowing down. They don’t have a bill. Still issues with Parl. Still disagreeing in caucus. Still fighting with House. Still no final language.
