Using GitHub Copilot but still getting inconsistent results, a forgetful AI, or just having trouble keeping up? I rebuilt my “Advanced Copilot” talk around six months of practical lessons, current tools, and real workflows. Tonight, at Indy .NET: www.meetup.com/indy-net-con...

AI can lower code quality and increase PR review time. One fix: add an "Adversarial Code Review" by Opus to your PR checklist. It's noticeably improved our PR quality and reduced review back-and-forth. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Would recommend.

Merge Conflict is always great, but episode 514 was especially fantastic: www.mergeconflict.fm/514 Frank Krueger’s local-model experiment shocked me: for practical work he found workflow, tools, planning, prompting, and context may matter more than remote vs *local* model choice. Great listen!

@davidfowl.com We chatted at MVP Summit about my co-worker Greg’s dream of playing tennis with you. I accidentally oversold him as a 4.0, then corrected it to 3.0, but you still seemed interested. 🙃 Greg’s going to Build now. Any chance you’d still be up for a match?

I've started concluding all initial agent mode queries with "Any questions before you begin?". It's been a game changer for quality output. Claude Sonnet 4 in particular asks some *really* good clarifying questions that it would otherwise just guess at.

I think I'm finally getting the hang of using CoPilot Agent Mode to do real-world non-prototype coding. Specificity is critical. Now though I'm now struggling with how much detail is too much and whether hand-coding would be less effort. Any opinions?
