If you're ready to grow on Bluesky, I will show you what actually matters so you stop wasting time and energy. I blend deep tech insight with human psychology. Ask me for tailored guidance. I also write travel stories that stay with you.

I disappeared from Bluesky for a little while. Not because I forgot this place. Not because I stopped caring. But because two months ago, life placed someone tiny in my arms and quietly changed everything. Rest of the story is in the alt text. Tap to read.

I thought I was taking a break from posting.

From helping people grow.

From showing up, connecting, replying, sharing, being present here.

But most days, I was just trying to learn a new rhythm with a baby who needed all of me.

There were moments I felt guilty.

Like I was falling behind.

Like everyone was building, posting, growing, moving forward, while my world had become feeding, holding, changing, rocking, and whispering "please sleep" in the dark.

Then one day, while holding my baby close, I realized something.

I was not behind.

I was beiing taught.

Patience. Presence. Love without applause. Growth that happens quietly, while no one is watching.

Motherhood has made me softer.

More tired, yes.

But also more grateful. More human. More aware that everyone is carrying something we cannot see while they are trying to grow.

So I am back here.

Maybe slower. Maybe not perfectly consistent.

But with a bigger heart, and an even stronger wish to help people grow on Bluesky, find their voice, and feel less alone while building.

Have you ever come back from a break and realized you were not behind, just different? :)

I was talking with a creator the other day. She said, "Jelena, I feel like the internet is filling up with AI words. Everything sounds the same. I dont know how to stand out anymore." I told her the truth I keep seeing... (The rest of this story is hidden in the image alt text)

The more AI floods our feeds, the more people lean toward the tiny, unpolished human moments.

The things you can only write after actually living something.

The things no model can fake, because they come from a heartbeat, not a dataset.

She laughed a little and said, "So my weird, messy voice is my advantage?"

Yes. It is. More than ever.

If you want to grow right now, write the one thing AI will never master.

The feeling of being you.

People sense it instantly. And they stay, not for perfect content, but for a real presence they can feel.

Bluesky just passed 40 million users... and you probably didn't hear a thing. Why? Because this isn’t just another social network. It's something bigger. Click the image, then check the alt text to find why it's different and why you should care.

We've all felt it: something's off with the old platforms.

You post your thoughts, crickets.

You see the same viral content on repeat.

You miss the people you actually care about.

Because the feed isn't for you, it's for the algorithm.

You're not the user.

You're the product.

Engagement is optimized...not for depth, but for addiction.

We gave up control, context, and creativity for a dopamine drip.

But Bluesky said: what if we rewrote the rules?

No hidden levers. No black box feeds.

Just a simple idea: Put people back in charge of their experience.

Bluesky is built on the AT Protocol, meaning you own your identity and you choose your algorithms.

Chronological feeds? Check.

Custom feeds? Absolutely.

Moderation tools you can adjust? Yes.

It's not just "a new Twitter".

It's a network of networks. Decentralized, customizable, and truly yours.**

And guess what? It feels like early internet again.

People talk.

Weird ideas thrive.

You can grow a community without selling your soul to trends.

You don't need to go viral. You need to be real.

And it's not slowing down.

40 million users now and growing fast.

Creators, devs, artists, thinkers, entire niches are finding a home here.

You don't need permission to belong.

You just need to show up.

So if you've been watching from the sidelines... this is your sign.

The door's open.

The vibes are good.

And you're not too late.

If this resonated, repost it for someone who's been curious but hesitant.

You might be the reason they finally join :)

I took this photo at the Colosseum right after realizing I hadn't posted on Bsky in 4 months. Not because I disappeared, and definitely not because I ran out of things to say... (Tap the image & read the alt text to find out...)

I've actually been here the whole time... just in a different way.

Behind the scenes, I've been helping others build their voice on this platform.

Refining how they show up, how they connect, how they stand out in all the noise and how they generate attention and grow.

It's been meaningful, creative, and honestly kind of addictive.

But somewhere along the way, I stopped showing up for myself.

Standing in front of the Colosseum brought something up for me.

This thing has lasted thousands of years, not because it shouted the loudest, but because it stood with presence and intention.

That hit me.

I don't need to post often or loudly, but when I do, it'll be deeply me.

So here I am.

Back, and glad to be.

If you're growing, you'll be hated. Not because you're bad - but because you're visible. Hate isn't a glitch. It's part of human nature + bad online incentives. Even here on Bluesky. (In the alt of the image, find out how to deal with haters forever...) 👀

Once your words reach beyond your circle, you'll trigger someone's insecurity, boredom, or weirdness.

So the question isn't how to avoid hate - it's how to face it without becoming hard or hollow.

1. Understand what hate really is.

It's not feedback. It's projection.
Fear. Jealousy. Loneliness. Confusion.
People lash out at what makes them feel small or unsure.

When someone calls you fake, cringe, manipulative - pause.
Ask: What part of them is speaking?

Most of the time, it's not about you. It's their insecurity wearing your name.

2. Respond like people are watching. Because they are.

Don't reply to the hater - reply for the quiet readers.
They're watching to see if you'll spiral or stay grounded.

Kind, calm, clever replies win trust.

Examples:
• "Not everyone likes my approach - that's okay."
• "Thanks for the perspective."
• "You might be right. Or not. Still, appreciate the read."

Grace is power.

3. Don't perform for people who hate you.

Don't dilute your voice to avoid judgment.
Don't write for people who don't get it.
You're not here to be universally liked - you're here to be felt by your people.

4. Block freely.

It's not weakness. It's protecting your peace.
Let them yell into the void. You're building something.

5. Stay human.

Don't become what you're trying to resist.
Speak with warmth. Rest. Touch grass.
Even if your post is digital - you are real.

Let them talk. You're building a sky of your own.

Ever dealt with hate just for being visible?
How did you keep your voice steady?

Want to know the best way to start a conversation with a stranger and actually BE INTERESTING? Think "How are you doing?" is a good opener? It's not. That's why your DMs get ignored. (Click the image and read the alt text to see what really works...) 👀

"How are you doing today?"

I get over 50 DMs like that every single day.

And no matter how well intentioned I am, there's just no way I can respond to all of them'especially when they feel like they were copied and pasted to a hundred other people.

Ironically, if I did try to respond to each one with the same answer, I'd probably get flagged for spam.

Here's the truth:
If you want to start a real conversation with someone new, please don't lead with "How are you doing today?"

It's generic. Forgettable. And 9 times out of 10, it'll get ignored.

Instead, do a little homework. Read their bio. Check their posts. Find something they clearly care about and ask a question that shows you actually noticed.

Let's say they're obsessed with cats and always posting pictures of their Maine Coon named Tom. A better DM might be:

"Tom is gorgeous! Be honest - how much do you spend on food for that big guy? I've been thinking about getting a Maine Coon too, but I'm worried I'll end up spending more on cat food than rent!"

Or maybe you've come across a total bookworm. Try something like:

"I saw you're big into reading. I'm planning a two month break from social this summer and want to get lost in some epic fantasy. Got any must reads? I'd love to hear your top recs!"

The key is simple:
Be genuinely interested in the person you're messaging.
Start with something real, something specific. Show you actually give a damn.

That's how you stand out from the 99% who send the same tired DMs every day.
That's how you spark actual conversation.

Don't be boring. Be curious.
You become interesting the moment you show interest in someone else. (Read that again.)

So what do you think, does this land with you?
Or are you still loyal to "How are you doing today?"

If you think this might help someone level up their communication game, feel free to share it.

Not a story today. But something that might matter even more to you: How to write in a way that connects deeply and truly resonates, even if it’s just DMs or comments. (Curious? Tap the photo and check the alt for the full guide...)

People keep telling me: "You should quit law and become a full-time writer."
And honestly... they might be right.
Because today, I'm not writing a story. I'm giving you something better: how YOU can write stories that truly resonate.

Yes, you.
Even if you don't think you're "a writer."
Even if English isn't your first language.
Even if your life feels ordinary.
You have stories that only you can tell.
Let me show you how to share them.

Why this matters:
Writing isn't just books or blogs.
Every WhatsApp message, every post, every comment...
It's writing.
And you can choose to make it boring or magnetic.

Here's how to write stories that connect.
Not in a fake, polished way, but in a way that makes people say:
"I feel this."
"I needed this."
"I wish I wrote this."

Step 1: Share your stories.
We all live differently. Even if two people write about the same event, they'll write it so differently.
That's your power. Your point of view is the gift.

Step 2: Say it simply.
No fancy words.
No academic fluff.
Just write like you're talking to a close friend you trust.
That's when your real voice shines.

Step 3: Feel it.
The best stories don't describe events.
They immerse you in them.
Talk about the sounds, smells, the weird feeling in your chest.
Let us feel what you felt.

Step 4: Practice.
At first, it might suck.
That's okay. Every good writer starts bad.
Keep writing. Keep feeling.
You'll surprise yourself.

And if you're scared?
Good. That means it matters.
Forget the haters. You've survived worse.
You're not too late, or too boring, or too anything.
You're ready.

You tell yourself it's just one gelato. Cut to 45 minutes later: You're five cones deep, sticky, possibly lactose-intolerant, and emotionally attached to a flavor called fig & ricotta. Welcome to Montepulciano. (Whole story's hiding in the photo alt. Tap to read...) 👀 #Travel #Adventure

You swear it's just one scoop.

You're in Montepulciano, it's hot, and you've earned this.

You even do the "Which flavor is the most authentic?" routine like you care.

You don't. You want pistachio. Always pistachio.

The first gelato is... divine.

You eat it while pretending not to be in your own Hallmark movie.

Cobblestones. Sun. Bell tower.

That one old man on a bench who looks like he's been judging tourists since 1742.

Then you see another gelateria. Different vibe.

They've got fig and ricotta.

Fig and ricotta?? That feels artisanal. Possibly even spiritual.

You're no quitter. You try that too.

You don't even realize it's happening until the fourth cone.

Your brain goes, "Just one more."

Your stomach goes, "Are we okay?"

Your inner child is like, "We are thriving."

By cone five, you've stopped pretending.

You walk in, make eye contact with the server, and say,
"Let's not lie to each other. What's your weirdest flavor?"

He says, "Gorgonzola."

You say, "Hit me."

You're now walking the streets of Montepulciano with blue cheese gelato and zero regrets.

You've become a local legend.

Tourists are watching you like you're on a self-guided dessert pilgrimage.

You sit on a stone step.

Your phone's dead.

You're sticky.

There's gelato on your shirt.

You're living your truth.

Sometimes, the best travel memories aren't the cathedrals or the tours.

Sometimes it's just you, five scoops deep, laughing at how seriously you took "just one."

What's your most unhinged vacation food moment?

And if this made you smile... share it.

Someone out there might need permission to eat five cones today.
