At least 50 children have been killed & <60 injured in an Israeli air strike on a girls’ school in Minab in #Iran’s southern Hormozgan province, per state media. Unlike overnight attacks last year, Israel’s strikes this morning apparently timed to inflict maximum damage, casualties & disruption.

Absolutely heartbroken at the devastating @washingtonpost.com layoffs. Gutting one of the world’s finest foreign reporting teams, staffed by some of the bravest, most insightful & hard-working journalists I know, is destructive madness. My heart is with my friends and colleagues at the Post today❤️‍🩹
