Started #bouldering again after having to stop for 2 years due to an injury and I can't use Apple Touch ID any more. A detail I had forgotten 😅.

Third day today that I'm forgetting to drink a coffee I'm making. How's your day going? :D
It's always surprising to me how the solution "work's been exhausting today, I don't want to do sports" actually is "go do sports regularly anyways, because then work is less exhausting". Body first, mind follows. Have to reteach myself that once in a while.
Between the Spam, the constantly higher prices and the lack of actual valuable features; I think it might actually be time to let Meetup go. Especially since the market has good alternatives with traction those days. Farewell, you've served the community well but it's just time to let you go!
What an ugly game that was to watch.... The opposite of the football you want to see :s.
Nugget of wisdom about learning from HackerNews today : "One thing I wish this emphasized more is that adults often confuse learning with consuming material about learning, which is why my useful rule has become: if I'm not producing errors, I'm probably not practicing yet"
Ordered a new screen and the order has been blocked in "processing" for the whole week. Delivery date promised showing Monday on the website. Support says "usually happens within 3 days". After 3 days, orders from another shop. Same story. Now having 2 screen orders in limbo mode. Curse is real💀
We're planning to watch the 🇳🇱 game tonight together with the kids, and I feel like going through this day without knowing the outcome yet will be like walking blindfolded through a minefield 😅. Here's to hoping!
I promise you KLM, this is my last name. And it isn’t even that complicated. I like that they tell me what a name should be made of 😅
Color me surprised :). Turns out somehow my info is part of the main models training data. I expect most of us to be. What is more worrying though is that there are some serious hallucinations going on. How many people think I'm actually a politician ? 😊 www.intheweights.com
I'm looking into doing some redesign in my house and we've reached the point where there's so much AI online that I can't see any more what's possible to build and not. Another year and I bet there'll be a space for AI free content locations. AI has good use cases, this doesn't feel like it
Past the announcement itself, which looks pretty interesting what I find most insightful is that this new tool making #1 on HackerNews today announces support for #kotlin, while #Java is not even mentioned. I think it's a first? Is the landscape changing for good? www.iroh.computer/bl...
So I've spent some time yesterday creating a Claude skill to do market research for all my little app ideas and rank them by opportunity. After looking at 250+ ideas the one that ranks highest is an app that uses AI to do market research for all little app ideas and rank them by opportunity 😅.
I'm alone home and painting the stairs this weekend and I'm facing the hard choice of locking myself up with the computer, or locking myself down with food and beverages. Cruel choice!
It’s this time of the year 😊. Always doing my best to join JSpring, a great java conference right in my hometown . Best way to see amazing speakers, exchange insights about new developments and stay In touch with the community . See you there! 🎊
It's been 12 times that I tell Youtube that I'm actually ok with listening to videos in their original language and that I didn't need auto AI dubbing. So I'm officially canceling my Youtube premium account. Was long overdue anyways. I can't believe this is actually something people would want.
Starting the day with a canceled bus, followed by a canceled train. Ask me again why I commute by car now 😅
Turns out my blog had been hacked after all... And Claude actually helped tremendously to find a solution (after being wroung about its early conclusions though 😬). TY all for your help yesterday! lengrand.fr/my-blog-... #claude #security
My blog was hacked and Claude and I just fixed it
My self-hosted Ghost blog got silently hacked via a malicious script injected directly into the database, targeting only Windows users. I traced the source of the issue and fixed it quickly with the help of Claude Code.

If you need to open a > 1MB text file, your safe bet is still Sublime. Even almost 10 years later, doesn't even break a sweat
❤️Need your help!❤️ : Would you please click on lengrand.fr/my-exper... and let me know if you get a fraudulent captcha pop up? I've had 2 readers report it, but cannot reproduce nor find anything suspicious at all on my server.
My experience using Junie for the past few months
Junie is one of the best coding agent I've been trying out so far. Very well integrated with IntelliJ, great for Kotlin, and the test first focus makes it quite good at coming out with good results. However, I do miss the capability to only accept part of a solution and it can be very slowwwwww.

You know that uneasy feeling about not knowing how to navigate your codebase after a few weeks away from it? With AI writing part of my code, I find that feeling to be 10x stronger on my projects, to the point that sometimes it's simply easier to rebuild the feature from scratch...
It is with great pleasure that I announce you that today, I have used a couple of the box with all leftover screws I've collected over the years in the infamous coffee container. Those days do happen!
Gotta love that Excel is pushing "importing data from pictures" as one of the main sources, while importing from a formatted CSV file is considered "legacy". Non deterministic data FTW!
Baarle-Nassau is famous for its incredibly complex border with the Belgian municipality of Baarle-Hertog. The two towns are inextricably intertwined, forming a patchwork of 30 enclaves. The kids loved playing being in 2 countries at once 😛
