If a movie looks good, and it is good, then it meets expectations. If it’s bad, then it’s disappointing. But if a movie looks bad and is bad, then it meets expectations. If it’s good, it exceeds expectations. So entertainment-wise, the best strategy is to only see movies that look bad.

I was watching my son being born when someone held the door open for me because they thought I was leaving and I felt awkward so I went out that door even though I wasn’t leaving, and that kept happening, and that’s how I ended up here, and I do miss my old family.
