ICE activity is ramping up across the country and Minnesota isn’t exempt from that. ICE has set a new baseline of “normal” ICE activity in our state and that baseline is rising again.

In this light, ICE/CBP/DHS murdering people who have in fact immigrated legally (arriving to claim asylum is LEGAL!) is actually an inevitable outcome of a white supremacist system collapsing under its own contradictions.
In a settler colonial system, the *entire point* of regulating immigration is to prioritize immigration of those who are likely to acculturate quickly as settlers, while strategically limiting the numbers of those in subservient castes.
Are we ready to talk yet about how "immigration law" is a technology of settler colonialism?
