Mother, music therapist, educator and small business owner trying to make the world better one day at a time. Democratic candidate for State Rep for West Springfield/Republic MO LESLIEJONES4MO.COM
Today is the final day for #missouri Sec of State Denny Hoskins to verify the signatures for the people to vote on the gerrymandered map they passed mid-decade, which we should have been voting on this election, and the Respect MO voters initiative to keep the lawmakers from overturning our votes.
#Missouri you have til 7pm TODAY August 4th to vote! Let’s show up in large numbers and vote down 4 & 5!
On the doors one last time before the election tomorrow with my favorite helper! Don’t forget to vote tomorrow if you haven’t yet! It is the last day to vote on amendments 1, 2, 4 & 5! 🗳️
Gotta get creative when you are a grassroots candidate who doesn’t take big money 😎🔥💙
Question for those with no soliciting signs… What are your thoughts on political canvassers knocking your doors? Though they do not legally count as solicitors, my campaign follows a “no knock but leave the lit” rule for no soliciting signs. Curious, what people‘s thoughts are as we move to Nov!
Did you know... Under House Bill 594, (signed into law in 2025) corporations can deduct 100% of their capital gains in the tax year following the year when Missouri's top individual income tax rate drops to 4.5% or lower. It is currently 4.7%. This law will be triggered if amendment 5 passes.
What would you think if we changed baseball to where in order to win a team had to score the most points in all 9 individual innings, or else the other team gets the victory… Because that’s what Missouri lawmakers want to do to our citizen petition process to change the state constitution.
I am grateful to be endorsed by the Missouri Federation of Women’s Democratic Clubs. Did you know Missouri’s population is around 50% female, yet less than 30% of our legislative seats are held by women?
Another hot and steamy day on the doors in Republic. Still haven’t found anyone voting yes on amendments 4 and 5… but found a lot of people frustrated with how things are going in Missouri and looking for change 💙🔥
LFG 💙🔥💙🔥💙🔥 “The first day of early voting in Missouri indicates a strong primary turnout, comparable to or possibly exceeding past primaries where hotly contested ballot measures drew more votes than candidate races.”
We're hiring Campaign Canvassers! Want to make a difference, meet great people, and get paid to knock doors? Come join our team in Republic & Springfield! Please send your résumé and 2 references to info@lesliejones4mo.com and we will be in touch!

“One in five Missouri children eligible for state-paid childcare services isn’t receiving help because there isn’t enough money in the state budget.”
I received this in the mail this week as I assume all other households in the 130th did. This is from my opponent, author and sponsor of Amendment 5 (the everything tax), printed by the State House so I assume using our taxpayer dollars not his campaign committee funds.
If you’re in the 130th and need a sign just reach out and we’ll deliver one to you!
Thank you to the Dallas County Dems for having me out to talk about Amendment 5 last night. The Dallas County Dems Club has just started up and is only a few months old but they are growing each time they meet. This kind of change and momentum is happening across Missouri and I am here for it!
Only six states were ranked worse than #Missouri. And might I add two of them have no income tax bit.ly/4gx8LQ4
Why one study is calling Missouri one of the worst states to live in 2026
CNBC’s annual America’s Top States for Business study released in June, analyzing each state based on categories ranging from education and economy to quality of life.

It’s been a long day of knocking doors and delivering signs… Tommy is forcing me to take a break and relax for a while 💙😎
My neighbor who had flown a trump flag for years (not anymore) came by to ask where I got my NO on 4 & 5 sign bc they needed to get one…
The Greene County Dems office in Springfield has No on 4 & 5 signs!! Get em before they’re gone!
The best little campaign helper 💙🥰 Signs are going fast! Reserve yours today and we will deliver it straight to your yard!
My opponent, and sponsor of amendment 5, was confronted by Missourians about the rising cost to seniors if his tax bill passes and this was his response…

We are 3 seats away from breaking the House supermajority and 2 from breaking the Senate supermajority in #Missouri. I’m personally hoping for this to be the year and I am trying my hardest to be one of the seats to flip blue.
“state revenues haven’t kept pace with projections, falling further than expected as the effects of repealing the tax on capital gains — profits on the sale of assets — ballooned tax refunds by $141 million in addition to a $162 million reduction overall in income tax receipts…
