52 years ago, I started an apprenticeship at Douglas Boatyard nr Preston Lancashire. Can’t say I loved every minute of it, it was hard work but loved more minutes than I hated, it shaped me. This is Ronny on his boat Vagus, a huge upgrade from punting boats by hand against the tide to be slipped.

Well, came a bit close to a slippery friend today, all by accident, practicing on my dirt bike, didn’t even see it, but apparently I ran over the tip of its tail, but what a magnificent example of a lowland Copperhead, about the fourth mist poisonous in Australia!
Fly screens are not only for flys, this is a baby apparently!!!

Nice walk yesterday in Portsea, this called Millionaire’s walk, where you go through wealthy home owners back gardens and is accessible through an innocent looking door.
