I am dumb enough to have gone on that ride at the fair that pins you against the wall well spinning and my back feels like it was separated from my body then jammed back in

The line between "reporting important information for public good" and everything else and what should or shouldn't be paywalled is somehow still not clear

Sometimes I think about how funny it would have been if ECW existed now. 1996 Paul Heyman transported to 2026 would have been selling ECW NFT's and ECW Crypto and Tommy Dreamer would be walking around with a gun and no talent still.

The kind of person that only sees art as a finished product doesn't have a fundamental enough understanding of art to be commenting on how it's made. It isn't gatekeeping to learn how to create things and that term has been co-opted by these types of people as a short-hand for expertise and cost.

Getting real sick of slop midwives pleading for a 'respectful discussion' of AI as relates to the arts. Your use of AI to 'make art' is not respectful. It benefits from stolen art, destroys the planet, and does not make you an artist any more than someone driving 26.2 miles is a marathoner.

Sometimes I think about how Qui-Gon was totally fine with putting a 9 year old slave into a race that humans don't do and where other people clearly died because of midicholorian counts

I expect that even if Stevens loses the primary, the DNC and AIPAC money will end up with her running independent to torpedo El-Sayed. That's the kind of person and donors we're talking about. We saw it with Cuomo in NYC.

The people pushing hardest on the marketing grift that you need llm's are the dumbest and least valuable to our society. They're making bad faith arguments couched in promotion for a product they don't understand, forged in a believe that they are far more intelligent then they are.

As soon as Star Wars Zero Company releases, if not sooner, Respawn will be gutted. Whatever team members are left will end up combining to work on whichever of Jedi Survivor or Iron Man is further in production.

Oh my god stop fucking posting about Stancil. For the love of god please, he is nobody. He is nothing. His only relevance is because you people keep reposting him over and over with how dumb and wrong he always is. Just the dumbest mother fucker and I can't mute when you're posting screenshots.

I am confused by all of this. If there was any suspicion at all, there should have been a recall (obviously) but the CDC is so broken and inept, I would love to know how or why people would keep eating this. The moment there was a remote concern, I did not buy shredded lettuce.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com · yesterday

Breaking news: The CDC is expanding the cyclosporiasis outbreak to 15 states, adding six states where illnesses have been traced to shredded iceberg lettuce sourced from central Mexico, according to individuals familiar with the investigation.

Dory Funk Jr. was so many things but I have always loved that he had the Funkin' Dojo and that then became the Funking Conservatory. Just absolutely beautiful copy. He trained so many people across decades on top of having an incredible wrestling career.

The trap is that by giving certain individuals any form of visibility you are working in their favor. Do not give assholes oxygen. The concept of a high school team vs the WNBA is not real, it's farmed outrage where people feel the need to "make a point". You don't though.

One aspect of this that's important is that people apparently also don't actually know what research is. Just as a generalized word, their understanding and capability to research something is non-existent. I assume that partially drives from the idea that research is a single wiki article.

"History involves sorting and organizing hundreds of thousands of facts" I remain astounded by how loud and wrong people are about what history actually is.

I haven't heard people talking about this, but AI is an absolute game changer for doing historical research. History involves sorting and organizing hundreds of thousands of facts— a massive logistical/memory problem made so delightfully easy with agentic research. 1/

I did an OCR conversion of all my PDFs to make text files, built a semantic search index, and can just let my agents roam free to answer questions, fact-check, dig up interesting stories, quotes, etc. It takes a lot of the hard work out, as well as a lot of the human error. 2/2

Wait, the last Fast movie was in 2023? And the next one that doesn't technically have a director attached has a 2028 release date? That's something.
