Finally got to the grocery store today (in Humbolt, during charging, on my way home from Algona 😅 Yes, I have an insulated cooler in the car) and yogurt, carrots, bananas, cheese, crackers, granola, cereal, chocolate chips (I like to bake), and a few other things added up to $137. This is fine.

Let's move on from frustration that this was not in place already, and be glad that we've gotten here and this accountability measure will be expected going forward. (What I keep telling myself, and mostly believing.)

In Algona today, hearing from agronomists, veterinarians, and regenerative farmers about compaction, biologic and microbial soil health, and animal health impacts from glyphosate, atrizine, and other 'necessary' inputs. Policy got us this ag system. Deliberate policy can get us out of it.

UIow started an annual All Iowa Career Fair for medical residents, and I was lucky to check out this year's event! Programs, clinics, and hospitals from all over Iowa are here to help our new doctors plan their futures and help us overcome our terrible statewide physician shortage!

Day three of NCEL brought a breakfast about regenerative food systems, then offered a lightning round of speakers presenting on great initiatives, a pleneary on transit and housing policies with good environmental outcomes, environmental awards, and then a panel on geothermal and nuclear energy!
