Weeding and mulching four of the Turkish Hazel #trees we planted in 2022 - two in St. Pancras Gardens, #Lewes, and the other two are in Timberyard Lane. They are doing very well and one of them has some Hazel nuts!

Some photographs to show the open flowers on a fruit-bearing Pomegranate #tree in a garden in #Lewes. The 4th photograph shows the double "pom-pom" blossom on our dwarf Pomegranate, offspring of the famous one on School Hill - not usually pollinated so no Pomegranates!

In Fitzgerald's Road,#Lewes, this morning to weed and mulch the seven #trees we planted there in 2022 - an Amelanchier, a Judas Tree, three Alders and two Whitebeams. Then round the corner to Queen's Road to look after the three Field Maples we planted there. Hot work!

Nine #Swifts screaming past our house in #Lewes this morning from 8.45 to 9.20 a.m. One flew out of the nest box that has been occupied since 13th May and others were banging at the entrance on the other side of the double box.
