I post Jewish things. Sometimes other things. Like sports. But mostly Jewish things. Senior Jewish Educator for Judaism Unbound/The UnYeshiva. www.judaismunbound.com

I’d love us to talk about Lindsey Graham being terrible more than we talk about him maybe being gay? There’s a lot to say about how much evil he did! Sure, say he contributed to Homophobia as part of it in ways that were potentially hypocritical! But “Lol he secretly liked DUDES” isn’t a mic drop.

It’s going to be very confusing when people look back one day at Texas very loudly saying “we are going to teach Christianity in our public schools,” and folks notice “huh, American Jewish institutions were much less concerned about that than they were that Zohran Mamdani called AIPAC ‘monsters.’”

It's good that Zohran Mamdani calls AIPAC's support for the death of Palestinian children "monstrous." If you oppose the death and starvation of children, I do not understand holding a position of "It's more dangerous to call AIPAC 'monstrous' than it is to not-call AIPAC sufficiently monstrous."

For 1 month anytime somebody says they’re going to “the cape,” referring to Cape Cod or Cape May or whatever, I’m going to respond with “Oh wow, Cape Verde? Amazing! Vozinha was awesome in goal.”

The problem with artificial intelligence, that people don't talk enough about, is how I can no longer refer to Allen Iverson as AI without it being very confusing to people.

Deborah Lipstadt's "clarification." If you're saying "What's the problem? I referred to a white Christian 19-year-old's antisemitism as being part of 'intifada' and that's logical actually"... Maybe just take a step back from participating in conversations about antisemitism? You're not helping.

It makes Jews much less safe when we presume all antisemitism comes from Muslims, and imply it couldn’t possibly be Christians. Sincerely, A Jew who lived in Jackson, loved living there, wore a yarmulke every day, and is unsurprised a white, religious Christian man set fire to the synagogue there

Who is making the Hannah Einbinder “Go birds, F%#* ICE, Free Palestine” tote bag? The answer is not “nobody,” and I’d like to purchase 18 even though I’m meh on the birds part.

An under-discussed piece of how we're failing to clearly oppose the genocide of Palestinians (a Jewish "our" and also a broader American "our"), is how decades of knee-jerk "both-ands" and "multiple truths" in all respects have made us unable to process one group intentionally destroying another.

I did not think Cuomo would be the one to name that he might’ve lost the overall Jewish vote to Mamdani in the primary, due to all the Jews on the left who are pro-Palestine and socialist, but as someone who’s Jewish, pro-Palestine, and socialist — it’s a fun listen! forward.com/fast-forward...

Cuomo blames Mamdani’s young, Jewish and pro-Palestinian voters for his primary loss

Andrew Cuomo is sharpening his attacks on Zohran Mamdani, accusing the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor of ‘fueling antisemitism.’

Thank goodness that the ADL calmed us all down less than 6 months ago, reminding us it’s silly to presume that Elon Musk’s gesture was anything other than an “awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm,” and centrists shook their finger at us wacky leftists who thought maybe he kinda likes Nazis!

Oh sure ya the Brooklyn Nets just drafted two Jews — both Israeli citizens — with back to back 1st round picks. I’m sure New York and my fellow Jews will be very normal about this. Also, lol that this is not close to being the biggest New York story related to Jews today.

I am filled with joy about Zohran’s primary victory! Many of my grandparents and great-grandparents were Jewish Socialists — some in New York City. I think their emotion would also be joy. I’m sick of distillations of Jewishness, past and present, that make this feel surprising. It’s very common.

Just writing down a note to self to create a program someday about the history of the outrageous and frustrating organization known as the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations, for the sake of the title "Where did you come from? Where did you go? Where did you come from, COPMAJO?"

We don't talk enough about how good "the rest is commentary, go and learn" is as a mic drop. Most arguments I'm in, I think about saying that at the end but then I remember only some people are Jewish.

Congress is pre-occupied with preserving Christian supremacists’ ability to say “the Jews killed Jesus.” We have a Jewish communal ecosystem that’s more concerned about college students calling for Palestinians to be free between 2 bodies of water. We waking up yet? forward.com/fast-forward...

Why the Antisemitism Awareness Act now has a religious liberty clause to protect ‘Jews killed Jesus’ statements

The Antisemitism Awareness Act's added language says it would not infringe on religious liberty to protect the claim that Jews killed Jesus.
