Friendships are quite literally also relationships, probably more important relationships in some cases, but they don’t see it that way.

A lot of people treat friendships like void fillers and even second fiddle for romantic relationships and wonder why they’re lacking in community. You don’t wanna sacrifice for folks. you don’t wanna do anything outside of for you…how is that community minded?
I actually think COVID shifted us away from religion, but I could def be wrong.

Once you notice how culturally acceptable it is to just talk about people's bodies like they aren't attached to a person at all, you can't stop seeing it everywhere and it's infuriating.
For example: When I see the discourse around Ariana Grande, I'm struck by the fact that I haven't seen anyone bringing up the toxic, predatory, exploitive environment she grew up in when she was working on Dan Schneider Nickelodeon shows.
As soon as the villain came on screen in Spider-Man I said “I don’t like [them]”. Never wrong, always early.
