Tracked down yesterday’s Merlin which was at Whiteford Point, Gower, this pm. It was again using trees for cover. c100 Curlew on shoreline and this eclipse Eider on sea. A few Barn Owl feathers found at Cwm Ivy, suggesting the bird may have been predated #birdingWales

Visit to Dyfi Ospreys saw fem, Telyn, brooding her 3 chicks, this pm. Just missed the food being brought in but caught up with the male later out on the estuary, feeding on post at RSPB Ynys-hir. Cuteness supplied by Swallow fledglings at same. #birdingWales

Hobby at NT Dinefwr, this afternoon, and a second bird also visited. Great Spotted Woodpeckers fledged and Pied Flycatcher pair feeding chicks at this nest box. Interestingly, a 2nd male & fem repeatedly had a look in the box. Quieter in the way of birdsong #birdingWales
