Back from spending 4 amazing days backpacking the Enchantments! The most hiking I've done in a weekend. With the two ascents to the core: ~50 miles with 8000 feet of elevation. Glad we could camp, had plenty of time to explore and enjoy it compared to the thru hikers that usually seemed rushed.
The stepmaniax stage is mostly broken in, only having occasional issues with the top arrow dropping steps if I'm too light. It's been 10+ years since I played 4 panel regularly, but already back up to ~11s, (I was on 12-13s before). My foot speed isn't back but my cardio is better than it was then.

Finally getting my dance stage setup. Still needs some breaking in and some setup tuning but its really solid.
Last full day, nothing too exciting, just spent a bit of time in Reykjavik, but did spot a couple furry stickers and got some good fish and chips. Heading home soon!
Last full day! First went to Eldborg crater, then Thingvellir, then ended where we started at the Thingvellir campsite, did a hike there to some ruins. Great day to end the trip. Tomorrow we're hitting Reykjavik again, flying out that evening!
Today was a lot of driving, went to Snæfellsjökull National Park, stopped by kirkjufell. Have a bunch of camera photos but its real late now.
Started in Ólafsfjörður, and had to backtrack to avoid driving in very dangerous winds on the coast.snowstorm has been chasing us, so after a quick stop in Akureyri, took the mountain pass across the troll peninsula, finally out of danger of getting snowed in. Stopped by Fosslaug and a hot spring.
Today was super windy, cold, and rainy. Went to the geothermal Hverir and did the traverse there, extremely windy hike. Then travelled around Lake Mývatn. Headed up to Husavik, an extremely pretty little town, before heading around partway up the troll peninsula. Lots of incoming storm warnings...
There is the coolest most chill reindeer here! Just walks around in this super photogenic farm and doesn't mind anybody! Just taking a nap 20 feet away from our van!
Left puffin zone, did a hike, started heading west through the highlands and did a detour to the most amazing little campsite: Möðrudalur/Fjalladýrð
And then after a slightly intense moubtian pass, Borgarfjarðarhöfn - it's the absolute best spot to see puffins up close! I took hundreds of amazing photos, I don't know how to even start going through them!
Today hiked Mulagljufur Canyon, then diamond beach and glacier lagoon, followed by such a beautiful drive. Few more photos in just a sec...
Today, went to Dyrhólaey, saw a puffin! Did the long drive to Skaftafell, there was some great moss, then it was barren and kinda really cool. Hiked to the glacier, then hiked to Svartifoss. Doing really long days but it's a great time. Have so many more photos from my camera to dig through.
started with a hike to the reykdajalur hot springs, then afterwards Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. The former we could walk behind and the latter was an experience to stand close to the blast. So wet all day but my hard shell's been great. Got a bunch of better camera photos I'll pull out when I can.
Day 2: Golden circle stuff, Geysir, Gulfoss, Kerið. Rainy but its beautiful. Very crowded but expecting things to quickly drop off as we continue. Loving our camper, its nice to kinda always be able to stop wherever we end up with only minimal planning.
Day 1, didn't really get sleep on the flight, but managed to stay up all day. Picked up or camper, grabbed a great sweater in reykjavik and now camping in a beautiful place. The landscape is something else.
FWA was really nice, had a lot of great interactions both suiting and wandering, spent time with old friends and met new ones, and saw a lot of cool stuff. Had great luck avoiding elevator crowds for our room, and there was always something fun to do.
Decided to try a quick solo overnight backpack at mason lake, had the whole lake to myself! It was quite cold but brought more than enough warmth to stay out quite late.
