Getting started was rather interesting, you see, I was supposed to have an employee working with me, but she quit and due to the municipality's economics it was decided that no one would be reinstated. So when I arrived that someone had already quit and there was just a temp who didn't really know--
Librarian Joakim

I am the sole librarian of a small library in the far north of Norway, on this account I will post about my experiences and journey as a relatively fresh out of college librarian. Personal user where I talk about non-library things: @ikomaj.bsky.social
So where did this journey start at all? Well to quickly recap I got tired of working what I was working (at the time customer support work at two very different businesses), and wanted to do something new. So I applied for school again, albeit already having one Bachelor's Degree.
Alright, lets start talking about the year that has been and all the way up till now. So to start, I will just want to say that I am never going to explicitly name my library/location. Though I might share pictures of it etc, but never with a logo or name.
Welp, I made my first and last post here the day before I started my position as chief (and only) libriarian for a small library far up north in Norway. Well, that has been well over a year ago, and I got a bit overwhelmed, so I forgot about this whole user - #library #librarian #norway
Hi! This user is going to be my journey as a librarian. I'm fresh out of university with a bachelor's degree in Library and information science. And I am about to start my very first day as the sole librarian at a small library up north in Norway. So I've moved from Oslo to up north just recently.
